Dr. Thorsten Ludwig

Berlin Institute for Innovative Energy and Propulsion Technologies

(Binnotec), Bouchéstr. 1212435 Berlin, Germany

+491716280357;

Dr. Ludwig has a Dipl. Phys. in Physics from the Technical University of Berlin, (2001), and a Doctor of natural Science (Dr. rer. nat.)from the Technical University of Berlin, (2005), both with highest excellence.

Since2006Dr. Ludwigwork as an independent consultant for new energy projects and was involved in project in Germany,Turkey, India, Qatar and Mexico. He measured energy efficiencies, designed and conducted research projects and helped in developing promising technologies.

Dr Ludwig worked from 2008 to 2010 as a project developer for the energy research centre of lower Saxony and for Prof. Beck from the institute for Electrical Power Engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal developing project in the field of new energy technologies.DrLudwigworkedat the Technical University of Berlin, (2001)-(2006) as a research scientist.

Dr. Ludwig travels frequently to India and is a member of the charitable trust IndiaCare that supports hospitals and solar energy projects in India. He evaluated the solar cooker in Gian Sarovar and conducted the measuring program to evaluate the large solar cooker in Taleti that can cook 40 000 meals a day. He designed the measuring system to determine the efficiency of the 60 m2 mirror prototype for the 3.5 MW peak 1 MW 24 hour solar thermal power plant “India one” in Taleti ( and worked as a consultant for the GIZ in this project.

Dr. Ludwig currently works as a researcher at the Berlin Institute for innovative Energy and Propulsion Technologies. There he conducts experiments in quantum field effect and their use for new energy technologies. He is studying the Casimir effect in his laboratory in Berlin. The experiment uses state of the art nano positioning, an atomic force microscope (AFM) and vacuum equipment to make use of the change in quantum field back ground radiation. He recently expanded the AFM use it for magnetic force microscopy and to study the fundamentals of magnetism and its connection to quantum field radiation.

Dr. Ludwig has participated in a large number of international conferences on future energies.

In 2005 Dr. Thorsten Ludwig, Dr. Marco Bischof and Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Manthey published a study on unconventional approaches in energy technologies for the German government (BMZ E 5001-15).

Since 2008 Dr Ludwig works also for the IACR (Institute of applied consciousness research) at the research center in Kolberg, Brandenburg. With the team at the IACR and Prof. Ron Brian from the TexasA&MUniversity, he builds an ion trap to study subtle influences on a single electron spin. (iacr.eu)

Dr. Ludwig is currently the president of the German space energy association and works as a consultant for several energy research projects.

Dr. Ludwig was born on 12.04.1964 in Hamburg, Germany. He went to school in Elmshorn and finished his high school in 1984 in Elmshorn. He studied Physics and environmental engineering in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin.
