KS 1 & 2 SATs Tests

The dates for the KS1 and KS2 SATs tests are:

KS1 Week in May to be arranged (Y2 children)

KS2 Week beginning Monday 8th May 2017 (Y6 children)

I would be most grateful if parents could keep these dates in mind when planning any holidays or short breaks away. Thank you.

Exciting News!

Miss Campbell and Mr Hollywood are getting married this June! They are wondering if you would be able to help them? They would like to arrange their wedding flowers in small jam jars. Therefore, any donations of empty jam jars in which they could display these, would be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Dance Workshop

Yesterday, Cheap Date Dance Group came into school to run a dance workshop which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Below are some pictures of the children performing at the end of the day.

Book Bags & Key Rings

Some children like to personalise their book bags with a keyring. This is quite acceptable, however, there are a few book bags displaying a number of keyrings which are causing damage to the pouches on the back of children’s chairs. May we ask that children only have one or possibly two keyrings and not a ‘collection’. Thank you.

Headlice

Unfortunately some unwelcome visitors have returned to our classrooms – especially in Class 1. Please check your child’s hair daily. If your child has head lice, check everyone in the family. You'll need to treat everyone affected to get rid of them. You can treat head lice by wet-combing hair with a special comb, regularly combing through conditioner, or by using medicated lotions or sprays available over the counter at pharmacies.
