MONDAY, APRIL 24TH

LEARNING TARGET: I can convert English units to other English units and metric units to make scale drawings.

BELL RINGER: Students will convert inches with factions into decimals.

BEFORE: Teacher will go over answers to bell ringer to check for student understanding.

DURING: Students will complete a group activity with meter stick

AFTER: Students will begin to convert feet into yards and miles.

ASSESSMENT: Group activity with meter stick

TUESDAY, APRIL 25TH

LEARNING TARGET: I can convert English units to other English units and metric units to make scale drawings

BELL RINGER: Students will convert inches with fraction into decimals.

BEFORE: Teacher will go over answers to bell ringer to check for understanding.

DURING: Students will do a group activity to convert metric to English units and English to Metric units.

AFTER: Quiz on converting inches in factions into decimals.

ASSESSMENT: Group activity with English and metric conversions and quiz on convert fractions into decimals.

WED, APRIL 26TH

LEARNING TARGET: I can convert English units into metric units to make scale drawings.

BELL RINGER: Students will convert English units into metric units.

BEFORE: Teacher will go over answers to bell ringer to check for understanding.

DURING: Students will take a test on converting metric into English units using dimensional analysis.

AFTER: Students will watch a short power on orthographic drawings.

ASSESSMENT: Test on metric to English conversions.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27TH

LEARNING TARGET: I can make orthographic drawings of designs to solve problems.

BELL RINGER: Students will retrieve notebooks and graph paper for orthographic drawings.

BEFORE: Teachers will go over the method for making orthographic drawings.

DURING and AFTER: Students will practice orthographic drawings.

ASSESSMENT: none

FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH

LEARNING TARGET: I can make orthographic drawings of designs to solve problems.

BELL RINGER: Students will retrieve their orthographic drawings.

BEFORE: Teacher will go around class and spot check student’s progress.

DURING AND AFTER: Students will complete orthographic drawings from yesterday.

ASSESSMENT: orthographic drawings.
