Why Invest?Crib Sheet

Becoming a TRESOC ambassador is easy!

We want everyone in our community to hear about the chance to become a member of TRESOC during our 2014 Share Issue, which is open until 5pm on Monday June 23rd

The most powerful way to spread the news is through the people you know. If you’re already a member, or about to become one, chances are someone you know would like to become a member too.

Top tips for spreading the word

1)Have conversations with people you know about why you’re a member – what led you to invest?

2)People join TRESOC for many reasons - it could be that

  • You want to be part of something positive for the good of the community. You’ll be able to look at the TRESOC Hydro schemes and Solar arrays in your area and know you own a part of them, are earning an income from them, and have helped make them happen.
  • You recognize the value of a local energy company in building a resilient, thriving local economy and in helping address our energy crisis
  • You want to see as much of our energy coming from renewables in the fight against climate change and as an alternative tofracking
  • You want an ethical, secure place to invest with a long term, steady income backed by government guarantee
  • You like using roof-mounted solar in preference to agricultural land, and the win-win for clean energy and ecology on the hydro schemes
  • You appreciate the tremendous efforts of the professional TRESOC team (not to blow our own trumpets here!!) in presenting these consented projects ready to go as soon as the investment comes in

3)If anyone you speak to wants to know more details about the specific projects in the share issue, about TRESOC or about ways to invest, point them to our website, ask them to get in touch

  • By phone : 01803 867431 - Alix is on hand and always ready for a chat!
  • Drop in : Come and chat over a cuppa between 10 and 10.30 any Tuesday at the Reconomy Centre, The Lamb, Totnes, just before the Kingsbridge Inn
  • Find us at Totnes Market

4)Take a bunch of flyers to hand out

5)If you know of an event happening in your area in the next month, and could go along with some flyers, or arrange a table, please get stuck in

6)Like us on facebook, follow us on twitter

7)Share our website through your twitter and facebook networks

8)Send our e-flyer to your email contacts and networks (eg your school newsletter, village website, linked-in etc)

9)Write something for our blog or join the member forum

Remember, the more we raise at this share issue, the more we all stand to benefit
