BACKGROUND
Because the Internet is the gateway for researching any
subject, you can learn about forensic science by exploring
this medium.Web sites that provide a wealth of information on
this topic.
PROCEDURE
You’ll write a double-spaced, 12-point type, three- to five-page
paper titled “The Use of the Internet to Solve Crimes.”
Research can be drawn from three different Internet sources
and also must include three different uses of the Internet.
Start your paper with a brief discussion regarding the purpose
of your research. The introductory paragraph also should
outline the major points in your paper. In the body of the
paper, list and thoroughly discuss at least three uses of the
Internet to solve crimes (e.g., crime-mapping and fingerprint
comparisons). Your last paragraph should serve as a short
summary.
Goal
This Research Project will help you apply what you’ve
learned about forensic science. You may decide to write one
or more drafts of your paper. After proofreading the final
draft, submit the assignment.
Writing Guidelines
1. Type your submission, double-spaced, in a standard print
font, size 12. Use a standard document format with 1-inch
margins. (Do not use any fancy or cursive fonts.)
3. Read the assignment carefully and address the topic(s)
or issue(s) suggested.
4. Be specific. Limit your submission to the topic(s) or
issue(s) suggested.
5. Include a reference page that lists Web sites, journals, or
any other references used in preparing the submission.
6. Proofread your work carefully. Check for correct spelling,
grammar, punctuation, and capitalization.
