Required for September 2017 (or earlier if possible), we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational SENDCo to lead and further develop the school’s already outstanding provision for SEND students.
This is a key post and we are looking for a professional with a proven trackrecord of success, a positive approach and a determination to make a difference to the lives of our young people. You would be responsible for leading a dedicated team of staff, including TAs and Intervention staff, taking a strategic role in developing the department in its drive for excellence and continuous improvement and inspiring and supporting all staff in enabling all students to achieve their potential across the curriculum.
The person we are seeking will:
  • Be an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who has successfully completed The National SENDCo qualification.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of national and regional education issues relating to provision for students with additional needs, including assessment and access arrangements.
The successful applicant will have strategic responsibility for SEND across the school and will be a member of one of our leadership groups. You will bring your skills and experience to ensure that we remain at the forefront of educational thinking and that all our students make the best possible progress. Our SEND team of staff arecommitted toproviding high quality teaching and learning for all students and this post represents an ideal opportunity to work in a happy, friendly, positive environment in a popular Academy with 780 students on roll
