Dear Parents and Athletes,

Welcome to Bear Branch Junior High Boys’ Athletics!

The goal of our athletic program is to provide a structured and positive setting for our athletes that will challenge them to improve their individual athletic ability and to instill a sense of discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and communication. Our athletes will have many opportunities to perform and compete throughout the school year. We believe our program will prepare them for competition, and in doing so, will also develop lifetime skills that will make them a successful young man outside the athletic setting.

The BBJH Boys’ athletic department offers seven athletic sports throughout the school year. The sports offered are Football (Aug - Nov), Swimming (all Year), Cross Country (Sept-Oct), Basketball (Nov.-Feb.), Track and Field (Feb-April), Golf (Apr-May), and Tennis (March-May). Participation in a Fall Sport is required in order to be in Athletics. Each athlete is encouraged to participate in a Fall and a Spring sport to remain in athletics.

Athletic Equipment Handout - Tuesday August 20th

8th grade 3:00 - 5:00 pm 7th grade 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The boys will be assigned a gym locker and receive their practice clothes so they are ready to dress out in athletics and participate the first day of school.

We are encouraging all parents to join the Booster Club. By joining the Boys Athletic Booster Club you are helping to raise funds to provide needed equipment and supplies for our kids. The Booster Club is designed to keep you informed and up to date on current events happening with each sport. Please forward your email address to Julie Pleasant, Booster Club President @ as we will have important information and events into the 2015-2016 school year.

Please bring the following items with you onMeet the Coaches Night.

•Booster Club Membership Form with $25 membership dues (form on back)

•One case of canned COKE products (Dasani water, Coke, Diet Coke, Mr. Pibb, Powerade or Sprite) This helps us to start up the concession stand.

•UIL Physical Form if not turned in already.
