BOARD OF DIRECTOR’S MEETING

MINUTES FOR JULY 27, 2015

The Hampshire’s at Greenbrier Association Board of Director’s Meeting was held at the clubhouse on the property, 1400 Sellborne Place, Chesapeake Va on July 27, 2015. Board Members present were Phil Piccini, Kris Hassanpour, Linda Piierswal and Rocky Grasso. Also present, Sherrie Fullmer of United Property Associates, Association Manager.

Call to Order:

The Meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m.

Guest Speaker: Jack Reynolds spoke to the membership on the importance of spraying the Crepe Myrtle trees to keep the wooly aphids and sooty mildew from being such a problem.

Homeowners Forum:

Homeowners Forum was held from 7:18pm to 7:53pm. Topics included stones in the flower bed instead of mulch, Irrigation problems on Penton Mews, Dead bushes around dumpster #3, planting of flowers on Penton Mews, replacing the hollies in front of the units, and rentals.

Reading of Minutes:

The June minutes were put off till the August meeting due to no time for the directors to read them before the meeting.

Treasurer’s Report:

Treasurer’s report was accepted as read and made a part of these minutes.

President’s Report:

The President reported that the orange flags seen on the property are marking fire ant hills, the gas company is placing concrete filled poles in front of some of the gas meters for safety reason and a new state law. If any homeowner needs or wants to have a portion of their driveway re-poured with new concrete get in touch with Jody Getty’s who has been working with Dragas to get the concrete guy who is pouring Hadley Park to come and pour the Hampshire’s at a discount. Phil also announced that effective 4pm on July 27, 2015, Pat Loonam officially resigned from the board and the Landscape committee, and effective at 10:30pm on July 27, 2015 he would resign from the board as well.

Manager’s Report:

Sherrie Fullmer presented the Manager’s Report.

Committee Reports:

Neighborhood Watch - Ann Maheu reported that some kids were seen jumping the fence into the pool area, but that the homeowner didn’t want to call the non-emergency line to report it.

Social – Kathie Piccini reported she needs more volunteers for the National Night Out on August 4, 2015.There will be a band, the ice cream guy, police and fire trucks and EMS. She also reported that the first painting class went well.

Media – Teresa Austin reported that the website will send email alerts if you want it to, and that Facebook participation is still strong.

Clubhouse – Ellie Bove reported the locks have been changed, the AC fixed and there were 4 reservations this month.

Unfinished Business:

A motion was made by Linda and Phil seconded and carried unanimously to: approve the spraying of the Crepe Myrtles that are infected with the wooly aphids.

A motion was made by Kris and Rocky seconded and carried unanimously to: Increase street parking time limit from 3 hours to 6 hours on non-fire lane streets except from 11pm to 5am that will stay no street parking at all.

It was discussed to get 3 bids for a tree surgeon to come out and trim up the crepe myrtles, as well as to remove the pear trees as the die rather than all at one time.

New Business:

A motion was made by Kris and Phil seconded and carried unanimously to approve an ARB for an Attic Fan.

A motion was made by Rocky and Phil seconded and carried unanimously to approve an ARB for an Arbor in the back yard.

Executive session started at 9:10pm and the board came out of it at 9:36om

A motion was made by Kris and Linda, seconded and carried unanimously to adjourn the Board Meeting at 9:37 p.m.
