About the Event
Dust off thecobwebs and bring thewhole family out for the2nd annualRotary Trickor Treat Trot. The 5K run/walk will bea hauntingly good time for all. Come walk along as a family in the 2K Spooky Stroll. Little goblins will love the 100 yard Haunted Hustle. There will be tricks & treats for everyone and extra prizes for allMonsters on the course. Come join the fun!

100 yd. Haunted Hustlefor 1st graders and under,

100 yd. Haunted Hustlefor 4th & 5thgraders.
Kids Activities:
8:30 am – 9:30 am. A cast of characters will be serving up Halloween fun for children of all ages. Little goblins can search for hidden bones in a huge haystack, guess the weight of our pumpkins and much more.
Location and Course Map
TheRotary Trick or Treat Trot takes place in historic downtown Barrington. The USATF 5K
course starts at 201 S.Grove andmeanders through the streets of Barrington. Split times at
1,2,3 mile marks. The 2K family spooky stroll will take placedowntown and will be filled with a cast of charactersalong the way.

Weather and Safety:
Races will run against traffic. Traffic will not be blocked off completely. Police and course marshals will be at all major intersections.
In case of rain, the races will proceed as planned, however, heavy storms with thunder and lightning will require race cancellation. Decisions on race cancellation will be made at the start of the races.
Dogs, bicycles, scooters, skateboards or in-lineskates are NOT allowed on the courses. Strollers are permitted on the 2K walk only.
Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital staff will be available on site to provide emergency and trauma services.
Amenities:
•Long sleeve event shirt and goody bags to all registrants
•Free food/beverage to all registrants
•Free parking in the commuter and the Harris Bank parkinglots
•Portable restrooms available
Packet Distribution:
Race goody bags, including race bibs and T-shirts for pre-registered participants, will be available for pick-up on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon at Dick Ponds, Barrington. All packets not picked up by 12:00
Noon on Saturday, September 25th will be available at the event site until7:45 a.m.
Awards:
5K – Product prizes go to the top three (3) men and womenoverall in each of the designated 5K
age groups.
The Haunted Hustle – Each participant receives a Halloween treat.
Costume Contest – Need another chance to show off your great Halloween Costume? Participate in the Rotary Trick Or Treat Trot Costume Competition. Awards will be given to three adults and three children.
Raffle:
All participants are automatically entered in a raffle for a chance to win great prizes donated by area businesses.

TheTrick or Treat Trot Run/Walk is a major fundraising effort of the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club. It offers your organization anopportunity to support area educational and humanitarian projects. Asignificant portion of theevent’s proceeds are devoted to providing grantsand supporting enrichment programs in Barrington areaschools. The remainder provides important funding for social projects that benefit area residents of all ages.
