England & Wales Cricket Trust – Interest Free Loan

Application Amount: Up to £50,000

Eligibility:

·  Affiliated to ECB

·  Must have a junior section

·  Working towards ECB Clubmark Accreditation

·  Club Development Plan

Details

The interest-free loan scheme aims to finance capital projects, including renovations, to improve facilities which contribute to increased participation in cricket

Football Foundation – Community & Education Scheme

Application Amount: Up to £250,000 over five years for community and education projects. Percentage support varies but will not exceed 90%

of the total project cost

Not for profit organisations, Football in the Community or Local Authorities

Details:

The Foundation is keen to ensure the projects it funds are sustainable and they should demonstrate how they will continue, once Foundation funding comes to an end

Football Foundation – Facilities Scheme

Application Amount: The maximum level of funding remains at 90% of the total eligible project cost, up to a maximum of £1m

Eligibility:

Local Authorities, all educational establishments, football clubs, multi-sport clubs, registered charitable organisations, companies limited by guarantee, industrial and provident societiesand unincorporated not for profit organisations

Details:

The Foundation is keen to ensure the projects it funds are sustainable and they should demonstrate how they will continue, once Foundation funding comes to an end

Football Foundation – Goalpost Safety Scheme

Application Amount: An individual grant cannot exceed 50% of the cost of a pair of goals up to a ceiling of £1,500. An applicant (such as a local authority) may apply for up to a maximum of 10 grants (the grants may apply to one site or several).

Eligibility:

FA affiliated clubs, local authorities, schools (that demonstrate commitment to football and FA Charter Standard), local community groups and clubs in the National League System Step 7 and below. Clubs in Steps 3 - 6 of the National League System can apply for replacement goals for their U18 youth teams.

The intention of this initiative is not simply to provide goals on a new for old basis, but to replacegoals which fail to meet the British Standards safety requirements

Football Foundation – Junior Kit Scheme

Application Amount: £400 voucher for kit / equipment

Eligibility: Any club, school or organisation can apply for a kit grant including all representativeteams at a junior level up to and including District. Applications are also welcome from disabled groups of all ages

Details:

Schools may only receive one grant every three years. Clubs may apply for two vouchers every three years, as long as one applicationis for a girls’ team, and the other is for a boys’ team.

Football Foundation – Small Grants Scheme

Application Amount: Funding of up to £9,000 is available for projects costing up to £10,000. Percentage support varies, but will not exceed 90% of the total project cost

Eligibility:

groups, youth clubs, football clubs and education establishments

Details:

The foundation encourages:

·  projects conducted over a three year period

·  projects aimed at engaging traditionally excluded groups, such as black and minority ethnic communities, women and girls and disabled groups

·  the introduction of new lunchtime/after school clubs which lead to inter school competition

·  the introduction of new age groups to a Club

·  level One/level Two coaching courses delivered as part of a wider programme which support the introduction of new teams/delivery of new activity

·  projects that work towards integrating new players into a league/competition

Foundation for Sports and the Arts

Application Amount: Up to £40,000

Eligibility:

Registered charities and Sports Organisations

Details:

The Foundation seeks, through the encouragement and funding of sport and the Arts at every level, to enhance the quality of life for the community generally. The pursuit of excellence concedes first place to measures to increase participation in, and enjoyment of, sport and the Arts by the whole community, regardless of levels of competence.

Apart from professional football and horse racing, most socially inclusive sport is considered.

Lord’s Taverners – Equipment Scheme

Application Amount: Cricket Bag and Equipment

Eligibility:

ECB affiliated clubs, individual schools or other organisations directly involved in the organisation of youth cricket and which have a genuine need for assistance.

Details:

An application may be made for one Cricket Equipment Bag only.

A successful applicant is not eligible to re-apply for the same bag within a two year period. However, an additional application can be made after a 12 month period for one of the “other” category bags.

Lord’s Taverners – Non Turf Pitch / Practice Ends / Nets

Application Amount: Non turf pitch - £3,000, Non-turf practice - £2,000

Outdoor nets - £1,000

Eligibility:

ECB affiliated clubs, individual schools or other organisations directly involved in the organisation of youth cricket and which have a genuine need for assistance.

Details:

The land on which a non-turf pitch is installed must be secured through ownership or lease for a minimum of ten years

Lord’s Taverners – Other Cricket Projects

Application Amount: Not specified

Eligibility:

ECB affiliated clubs, individual schools or other organisations directly involved in the organisation of youth cricket and which have a genuine need for assistance.

Details:

Grants may be awarded towards the cost of other projects directly benefiting the development of youth cricket.

Grants are NOT available for building/renovation of pavilions or for ground equipment such as sight screen, mowers or rollers.

Lord’s Taverners – Sport & Recreation for Young People with Special Needs

Application Amount: Up to £5,000

Eligibility:

Schools and Organisations that are Registered Charities

Details:

The grant looks encourage those youngsters with special needs, particularly those with mobility, sensory and mental disabilities, to participate in sporting and recreational activities within a group environment.

Examples of equipment, which has been funded, are specially adapted sports equipment; outdoor play equipment; soft play and multi-sensory equipment; riding equipment; pool hoists, water ski equipment and sports wheelchairs.

Lord’s Taverners – Sports Wheelchair Sponsorship

Application Amount: Wheelchair or up to 50% of costs

Eligibility:

Applications must be submitted on behalf of an individual by a recognised sports club, relevant sports body or school. Applications will not be accepted from an individual. Aged 8 – 25 years.

National Sports Foundation

Application Amount: Match funding of over £50,000

Eligibility:

Not for Profit Organisations

Details:

The Foundation will only consider match funding projects which deliver one or more of the following outcomes:

·  Increased participation in sporting activity, with a strong focus on under-represented groups*

·  Increased club membership

·  Increased numbers of qualified and active coaches delivering instruction in sport

·  Increased numbers of active volunteers supporting community sport

·  Under-represented groups - young people, women and girls, people with disabilities, over 45's, black and minority ethnic groups, socially and economically disadvantaged groups.

Rugby Football Foundation – Groundsmatch Grant

Eligibility:

All clubs at level 5 and below in the English Clubs Rugby Union Championship (i.e. the leagues) are eligible to apply to the fund for a loan and grant.

projects that contribute to the recruitment and retention of

community rugby players.

Rugby Football Foundation – Interest Free Loans

Application Amount: Up to £100,000

Eligibility:

All clubs at level 5 and below in the English Clubs Rugby Union Championship (i.e. the leagues) are eligible to apply to the fund for a loan and grant. Clubs at level 4 are eligible to apply for a

loan only.

Details:

Loan applications of up to £50,000 can be made in conjunction with Groundmatch grant applications.

Loans will be interest free and the maximum loan period will be 15 years, including the potential for a two year initial capital holiday at the discretion of the Trustees.

Sport England – Community Investment Fund

Application Amount: Over £10,000

Eligibility:

Open to most formal groups and statutory agencies

Details:

When making investment decisions, the boards look for evidence that projects will help meet regional priorities and support Sport England’s work to get more people involved in sport – with a focus on hard to reach groups – and help them stay involved throughout their lives.

Sport must be used in any of the following ways

·  To increase access to sport and exercise for people who face social exclusion and isolation

·  To help people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives to regain their confidence and self esteem

·  To encourage people to take part in sporting activities that will bring communities together

Sports Aid

Eligibility:

Individuals that are members of GB/England squad

Details:

Sports Aid applicants must meet the following criteria:

·  Performance: Member of the GB/England team or squad member.

·  Location: Live and train in England.

·  Age: between 12 and 18 years old, but they focus on the 12 to 16 age group.

·  Income: must not earn over £8,000 a year.

·  Funding: should not be in receipt of any other funding such as TASS* Award or Lottery.

·  If you feel that you meet these criteria, contact your National Governing Body to discuss your nomination for a Sports Aid Award and request a Sports Aid application.
