Introduction of New Financial Aid Director -Julie introduced of David Peterson to the steering committee.

Old Banner Web Site www.banner.ipfw.edu will move to https://new.ipfw.edu/offices/banner on May 20th, 2013 – Julie reminded everyone about the new website and decommission of the old.

Refresh of PPRD Data (May 28th – 31st, 2013) - Julie reminded everyone about the refresh of PPRD beginning May 28th due to last a week.

Quarterly Oracle Critical Patches Schedule in PROD June 8th and 9th– Julie reported we need to move the patches to PROD on the weekend of June 8th.

Moving of Banner PROD servers to Ginsburg – Late June or Early July 2013 - Oracle needs to be in place to move servers.

ID Card System – Go Live May 10, 2013…Conversion begins May13, 2012 - Julie reminded everyone go live is scheduled for May 10th.

Ellucian Live Reports - Karen Ramsey Mielke, Jacob Sonner, Kim deLeon, Nancy Leinbach (not present), Shawna Squibb, Maria Norman and Thang Tran

Maria Norman – Attended virtual line for one stop shop where students login to Google Drive and work with staff on campus which includes an express lane for quicker service in Financial Aid; Recruiter software system sessions; Automation of systems for test score loads, scholarships, and orientation by major; WorkFlow with Degree Works in automating graduation application completions, holds for 90% completion, use EDI to simplify transfer units, etc.; Banner Document management for imaging

Shawna Squibb – TGACOMC update coming for AR to allow text wrapping, batch processing, etc.; TSRCBIL changes are coming; Population selections demo by Rose Most; Detail codes setup session, GL detail codes; Refunding session; NACUBO on sequestering; Creating letters using AR data; Session on billing for parts of term; Two sessions on application of payment; Learned about the commons area in Ellucian; Session purging AR data, never loose TSAAREV detail.

Thang Tran – Banner 9 pushed back four years; Mass data entry features and lack of Banner security; Web Snapshot for call center use, organized form for IPFW, read only so users do not have to go to multiple screens, OASIS only; Session on Financial Aid updates coming.

Kim de Leon – Sessions on ODS streams versus materialized views; Session on Banner General 8.5 changes; Reporting from Degree Works; Preparing for Banner XE; Ellucian Support Center changes; Sessions on Luminis 5 changes; Proxy access in Banner.

Jacob Sonner – Migration tool available in Luminis 5.1.1 from Luminis 4 in third quarter this year; Groovy Grails training sessions; Attended mobile sessions with many in the box features, students can register through phone; Degree Works technical overview and received confirmation DW will work with Luminis 5.

Karen Ramsey Mielke – Mass data utility training where security is an issue, used for multiple sub-queries; Technical sessions on Banner XE and hardware needed; Sessions on Banner General 8.5; Technical session regarding Banner Registration; Oracle 11g roadmaps.
