Minutes of 27th April 2016 were approved.

3. / Banff and Buchan Community Plan
The group were asked to read though the plan to check for any omission, amendments and to get back to CS by 14th June. Finalised plans need to be in by 20th June.
Update: The Banff and Buchan Community Plan has been approved by the Local Community Planning Group, the plan has also been endorsed by the Community Planning Board at its meeting on Wednesday 29 June. The plans will be published in mid-August. / CS
4. / Joint Meeting
CS feels we need to have a look at Joint Meetings, any feedback and partners to play more of integral role.
The overall census is that the meeting was very informative with groups getting a lot from it but more work required around getting partners to take more of a lead. It was suggested that something new is introduced. Communication has greatly improved with members. It was suggested that maybe there should be an element of reflection: what has been achieved? What’s new, what’s coming forward, etc? Duncan mentioned that it was quite important that the group have a meeting with Councillors. / CS

6.4 / Welfare Reform Update
It was agreed to focus on three things and do these thoroughly with a more genuine outcome of improvement. CS, JE, GR and AJ meet to look at developing some focused work for the Welfare Reform. The make the decision to focus on Rosehearty and move along the coast to Macduff.
Men Sheds
Is funded until the end of March 2017. The Men Sheds are still very active in looking for other opportunities as the emerging project of Former Rosehall Care Home in Aberchirder has been withdraw. There is a lot of work to do but they are such a great group and are now working with Aberchirder Community Association.
Sandra was contacted by Councillor Tait about setting up Men Sheds in Fraserburgh. Sandra explained there has been no expression of interest from the community in setting this up. Councillor Tait is going to put it in local paper.
Partner Updates
AVA CHiP Officer
Gaby Beattie advised 4 groups at her PB Presentation Skills Drop Ins at the H4U Centre. Most have been looking for general information, advice on how to deal with nerves and tips to help make their presentations stand out. Two further drop ins are available at the H4U Centre (10th and 14th June)
It is Scottish Health Council PPG Awareness Week 6th – 13th June. Having met with Chris Third from the Scottish Health Council she is looking to investigate the development of Patient Participation Groups (PPG) in Fraserburgh
Confirmed attendance at the next Fraserburgh Local Safety group meeting (once new date set)here she’ll be looking to share information about the storage and accessibility of emergency contact details and medication information.Schemes include the Message In a Bottle scheme developed by the Lions initiative.
National Self Directed Support Week is 13th-17th June. She is attending the Peterhead Event on the 17th June. This is an opportunity to get the message out about the role of the CHiP Officers as well as general awareness raising of SDS and what Cornerstone SDS Service can assist with. Dates, locations and details of events have been shared by Cornerstone
Regular attendance at the Fraserburgh Older Peoples Forum and Robertson Road Parents Support Group. Recently she arranged both groups to come together for a talk and presentation from Claire Trail at the Aberdeenshire Council Community Alarms and Telecare Team. The talk was very well attended and both groups have commented that the information shared on the day was not previously known and extremely useful when looking for support to help keep loved ones safe in their own homes or when out and about. Claire is available to deliver this talk to community groups and local H+SC teams and she’d be happy to support organising talks throughout the Fraserburgh area, please contact me to discuss further.
Smoke Free Council Premises Update
Aberdeenshire Council has followed in the footsteps of the NHS and introduced a smoke free premises starting on the following dates:-
3rd May 2016 – Corporate Offices
6th June 2016 – Infrastructure Sites
15th August 2016 – Schools and Leisure Sites.
3rd October 2016 – Health & Social Care and remaining sites.
Staff are to get training on raising the issue. The main focus on smoke free is to focus around children. / JE

7.2 / GIRFEC Group
Sandra advised GIRFEC Group launched on 2nd June 2016. The group is mainly focusing on helping references and paperwork and function around job planning and professional development. There are 17 GIRFEC Groups around the Shire with Fraserburgh now being chaired by Lynne who will give feedback to LCPG.
Fraserburgh & District Safety Group
Mary informed us that the group had a stall at the Bluelight Festival with lots of free dog goodies being given out. Also information on Pass Plus and any feedback on Pass Plus given with the majority saying that it was too expensive and that it should be incorporated within driving test. Emergency Contact discs were also given out at the event and Mary also has some along to the meeting to hand out, everyone was in agreement that these were a great idea. All in all a successful day for the group.
