- inspect material
- isolate when making adjustments
- guard correctly set for minimum blade exposure
- guards down and machine isolated when not in use

- correct crown guard coverage
- correct thickness of riving knife
- riving Knife and guarding must be in place at all times – (no rebating or grooving)
- ripping fence to be extending no more than 50mm from front of blade
- minimum saw diameter to be displayed
- directional arrows to be displayed
- isolation of machine when making adjustments or changing blade
- safe storage of new blade
- on separate isolation circuit to other rooms
- electric shock
- contact with moving parts
- kick back
- inadvertent operation
- inhalation of dust
