EASTER HURLING CAMP: Kerry hurlers Shane Nolan and Colum Harty are hosting an Easter Hurling Camp (10th to 13th April) venue Causeway GAA grounds 10am-2pm for all boys and girls from Age 7-13. There will be a special guest attending and also lots of prizes available on the week including a signed Kerry jersey.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto: 5-10-26-30. The Jackpot of €5,600 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,650. The two €50 winners were: Margret Flaherty, Tiershanahan and Bridie Lucid, Church Road, Ballyheigue. The €25 winner was Margaret Guerin, Tiershanahan.

UNDER 12s: The U-12 hurlers lost to Kilmoyley in the Co League on Friday evening score Ballyheigue 4-0 and Kilmoyley 5-9.

MINOR: The North Kerry Minor hurling league game on Sunday morning last between Ballyheigue and Ballyduff did not go ahead as Ballyduff were unable to field a team.

DEATH: The death took place of Eileen McMahon, (née Foran), Meadowlands, Tralee and formerly of Ballyheigue reposing at Hogan’s Funeral Home, Tralee on Friday 7th April 2017, followed by removal to St. John’s Church, Tralee. Requiem Mass on Saturday and burial afterwards to New Rath Cemetery, Tralee. May she rest in peace. Mother of Mary, Edward and Eilish. Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren Kieran, Tom, Sorcha, Daragh, Niamh, and Eva; sons-in-law Jeremiah and Billy; sister-in-law Maureen, nephews nieces and relatives and friends.

COMMUNITY GAMES 2917: Shauna Casey once again took home a Gold medal for Ballyheigue Community Games in U-16 model making. Shauna has won this title for the last few years and been very successful at National level also. This year Max Fitzgerald tried his talent at model making and was absolutely delighted to receive 3rd place U-10. We will be keeping a close eye on Max success over the next few years. Well done Shauna and Max.

BEACH CLEAN UP: There will be a beach clean up on Good Friday at 11.00am gathering at the Life Guards Hut. Refreshments are provided courtesy of Brendan Moriarty, Centra. Hoping for a large turnout of young and old to preserve this glorious asset.

TIDY TOWNS: Ballyheigue Tidy Towns Committee wishes to sincerely thank everyone that helped out with the annual Parish clean up last Saturday. The initiative supported by Killarney Waste Disposal and Kerry County Council was a tremendous success. The Parish is looking great and that is thanks to the volunteers.
