Ballwin Athletic Association Rules of Conduct

A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PROMOTING SPORTSMANSHIP AND FAIRPLAY IN YOUTH ACTIVITIES.

It is the purpose of the Ballwin Athletic Association to provide a safe place in which the youth of the Ballwin area can find positive examples of good sportsmanship and fair play. It is with this spirit that the following Rules of Conduct are written.

Whether guests or residents of the Ballwin Athletic Association (B.A.A.), all persons will be expected to abide by the following rules while on the premises of the B.A.A. Failure to abide by these rules could result in disciplinary action that may include expulsion from the park.

  1. Team managers and coaches must be responsible for the conduct of their players, other coaches, team representatives and spectators at all times while on the property of the B.A.A.
  1. It is the responsibility of any manager, coach or spectator to report to the B.A.A. Board Member on duty, any actions by others that would be considered unsafe, acting in an unsportsmanlike manner or simply creating a disturbance. The purpose of this is to prevent a situation from developing into a more serious problem that may be harmful to all.
  1. Comments about balls, strikes, out or safe because of video usage is strictly prohibited.
  1. The use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited both on the playing field and in the dugout during a BAA sponsored event.
  1. Only the manager, must seek time out and permission to approach an umpire for conversation. Coaches and players leaving the dugout, coaching box, position, or the area of the pitching machine (if applicable) are subject to immediate ejections and subject to additional disciplinary actions
  1. The consumption of alcohol prior to or during an event at the B.A.A. is strictly prohibited for all players, managers and coaches who are involved in that event.
  1. It is the policy of the Ballwin Athletic Association that no one bring in any food or beverages of any kind (team water coolers are allowed) into the park at anytime.
  1. There is absolutely no practice allowed on any of the B.A.A. fields without prior approval from the Board of Directors and with the knowledge of the Field Manager.
  1. Absolutely no pets are allowed within the Ballwin Athletic Association complex at any time.
  1. For insurance reasons and the safety of all in the park, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, etc. are not allowed.
  1. Any teams or individuals submitting bad checks or late payments to the B.A.A. will be subject to disciplinary action. If for any reason, a payment will not be paid on time, the team or organization involved is responsible for making arrangements with either the President, 1st Vice-President or Treasurer prior to their payment being late.
