Job Description
Background:The role of the Graphic Designer is a demanding and exciting role at Pb Scotland. You'll collaborate with internal teams, interface withclients, and work with external partners and vendors on the delivery of all things creative!
Job Purpose:To provide professional design support and creative input to the Pb Scotland team to meet the delivery of all graphic related solutions for our clients. You will also collaborate with the wider Pb design team to ensure creative consistency across the company and that Pb brand guidelines are adhered to.
Main Duties:
- To support the Producers and Directoras required on creatively interpreting client design briefs.
- To work collaboratively with the set exhibition support role and wider Pb Scotland team in providing innovative, creative and bespoke design solutions for events, exhibitions and other creative projects.
- To provide design solutions that will meet a given budget whilst still maintaining the highest specification possible.
- To liaise directly with clients (where appropriate) to determine their requirements and deliver the right solution.
- To design and prepare artwork for printed materials.
- To design and prepare PPT template designs.
- To design & format a variety of onscreen content including PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi.
- To research and source stock images where appropriate.
- To create logos and tailored design treatments related to events.
- To manage work schedules and keeptimesheets to meetdeadlines and budgets
- To work with Producers / Director to ensure brand consistency of all pitch documentation.
- To have a basic understanding of video editing software / some experience of creating videos, animations (3D) and/or motion graphics
- To contribute proactively through ongoing communication, meetings etc with all appropriate departments.
- To take ownership of being at the forefront of the design profession atPb Scotland by keeping abreast of new developments in the design and technology world and to undertake any training as necessary.
- To be a proactive team member within Pb engaging professionally with internal staff whilst also acting as an ambassador for Pb externally.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:
A degree or similar professional qualification in Graphic Designor similar creative discipline(E)
Highly competent user of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) (E)
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Windows 7 &10 applications (especially advanced level Powerpoint design) and PC desktop systems (E)
Knowledge of Prezi & Keynote (D)
Good communications skills both in person, by telephone and written (E)
Problem solving skills (E)
Experience:
Experience in all areas of graphic design: photography, animation, publishing, illustration etc (E)
Experience of working with a wide variety of design layouts including exhibition design, banners, signage etc (D)
Experience of film and video editing usingsoftware such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro or After Effects, Cinema 4D, DVD Studio Pro etc (D)
Experience of working in a pressured environment adhering to strict timelines and deadlines whilst still delivering great service (E)
A multi-tasker who has the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and also support the team (E)
Knowledge of Website and Apps Design (D)
