BIOSKETCH

S. Antonio Ruiz-Quintanilla is currently a Senior Research Associate with the Program on Employment and Disability, New York School of Industrial and Labor Relations, CornellUniversity. He has held research and teaching positions at the Universities of Hamburg, Konstanz, and Berlin in Germany, as well as Osaka University in Japan, Cornell University and The University of Oklahoma in the U.S.A., the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, and University Paris Nord in France.

Among his research are projects funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (Attitudes towards work and the market economy in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Hungary from 1991-1994)) and by the U.S. Department of Education (GLOBE: Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior effectiveness research program from 1994-1999) together with R. House from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

His research interests include international comparison of work-related attitudes and values, leadership, organizational culture, and the process of socialization to work.

He has written over 50 articles and chapters, which were published in Journals including Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Journal of Occupational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Business Strategy and the Environment. His book publications include two co-edited books with Wiley.
