I.  Tailgate

A.  Great job

B.  We had 162 students in attendance of the event

II.  Pink Out Day/Gum Day

A.  We raised $521.75 for the Cancer Society

B.  Great job of flyers and participating

C.  Do we want to present the check the day before Thanksgiving or just send them the check?

III.  Reminders

A.  Remember you need to report back to your homerooms and back to Mrs. Baker when you gather information from your class

B.  When you are given a job you need to make sure you do it, some didn’t stay at their jobs at the Tailgate

C.  You are role models at Otte. This means in behavior and grades

IV.  Black Out

A.  Monday, October 31, we will have a Black Out Day

B.  Ask every student to bring $.25

C.  It is not a gum day, just something to do since it is Halloween

D.  The money will go to the food pantry (potential for $120 if everyone brings a quarter)—last year we raised $320

E.  Do we want to go buy food with the money or just donate the money to the pantry?

F.  Students may wear hats (black) and half face paint

G.  Posters need to be made

V.  Veteran’s Day

A.  November 11 (Friday)

B.  Encourage people to wear red, white, blue-no contests

C.  Poster (10 feet long) to honor vets (will hang up outside the office)

D.  Ask students to bring/write Veterans in their families to honor

E.  Students read facts about Veteran’s Day (Mr. Bellamy’s students will read-I will let you know who is selected)

F.  Volunteers to make big poster:

VI.  Canned Food Drive

A.  November 7-22

B.  We will ask students to bring food and make a pyramid outside the office

C.  All food will go to the food pantry

D.  Posters need to be made

VII.  Pie in the Face

A.  November 22

B.  Pick teachers to get pie in face—need to ask the teacher if they are willing to participate (6th, 7th, 8th, and exploratory teacher—it cannot be the last two year’s winners-Mr. Small and Mr. Ligand)

i. Teachers: (teachers must be asked first before we can use them—who will ask teachers?)

C.  Money goes to the Food Bank

D.  Also that day is the volleyball game. 8th grade girls will play and 8th grade boys will play. I may need some that day with the event.

E.  Wear your shirts that day

VIII. Next Meeting Date

A.  Friday, November 4

B.  5th period—Mrs. Baker will let your teachers know you will miss lunch that day (from 11:30-12:50)

C.  Dr. Stogdill will provide lunch—Jimmy John’s mini sandwiches. They will be premade. We will also have chips and water for you to have.

D.  You are responsible for letting your teachers know you will be gone as well.
