1.0 SCOPE OFWORK:

Workunderthiscontract shallincludethefurnishingofalllabor,tools,supplies,materials,transportation,supervision, permitsandnecessaryinsurancefor"Installationofcarpet"fortheGeneralServicesDepartmentlocatedatFireStation#2,address:5880 Woodway Dr., Houston 77057

Installationoffloor carpetinvolvesthefollowing:

1.1Contractorwill providecommercial carpet tile (nylon) and rubber flooring. The color will be decided when job is awarded.

1.2Samples should be available to review before installation.

1.3Contractor will prep and secure work area including removing of furniture and communicate with shift captain on schedule.

1.4Remove and haul away old carpet.

1.5Installation of new carpet will include rubber cove baseand transition molding.

1.6Contractor will clean and vacuum work areas and place furniture back.

1.7Workinghoursatjobsitewillbefrom6:00a.m.to4:00p.m.,MondaythroughFriday.Different timestobeconsideredbutmustbeapprovedandprearrangedwithCityofHoustonGSDJobSiteSupervisor.

1.1Othecontractorshallcompleteallspecifiedworkwithintwenty-one (21)calendardaysfromthedatethe PurchaseOrder isissuedbytheCity.

1.11Protectsurroundingworkfromdamageordisfiguration.

1.12Ifonsitefabricationisneeded,accommodationswillbemadetoallowroomforcontractortotemporarilysetupatableorothermeansofsupportingworkforthatpurpose.

1.13Thecontractoris responsibleformaintainingacleanworkareaalwaysduringinstallationandcleanupafterinstallation.

1.14Contractorisresponsibleforverificationofalldimensions.

2.0 MATERIALS:

3.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE:

3.1Shouldanymaterialbefounddefective,notmeetingspecifications,orthatwhichhas notbeenapprovedinwritingbytheownershall,upondiscovery(includinganytimewithintheperiodoftheguarantee),bereplacedwiththespecifiedequipmentormaterialatnoadditionalcosttotheCity.

4.0WARRANTY:

4.1TheContractorshallguaranteealloftheworkthatisperformedunderthiscontract,includingallmaterials,workmanship,foraminimumofone(1)yearfromthedateoffullacceptanceofthework.

5.0 DISCREPANCIES:

5.1If there are discrepancies inthe specifications, the Contractor shall ask for aclarificationfromtheCitypriortobidopening.

5.2Ifnoclarificationisrequested,the City'sjudgementshallrule.

6.0 INSURANCE:

6.1ContractormustcomplywiththeCityofHoustoninsurancerequirements,provideinsurancecertificate,anddrug policyformswithinthree(3)daysofrequest.

7.0WORKMANSHIP:

7.1All workshall beperformed andcompletedinathorough,workmanlikemanner andinaccordancewiththelatestprovenpracticesofthetradebythoroughlyskilledandexperiencedworkmen.

8.0 PERMITS:

8.1UnlessspecificationsstateotherwisesuccessfulContractor shallberesponsibleforsecuringanyandallpermitsfor proposedwork.AnyfeechargedforthesepermitsshallbetheresponsibilityoftheContractorandnottheCityofHouston.

9.0 SITE VISIT:

9.1Allprospectivebiddersareencouragedtoarrangeandattendasitevisittoclarify theactualscopeofworktobedone.FailureofabiddertoarrangeandattendasitevisitshallnotconstitutegroundsforlaterclaimagainsttheCity.

9.2Thesuccessfulbidder'sproductshallbesupportedbyanauthorizedservicefacilityforsecuringreplacementmaterialwithout unduedelay.

9.3Any revisionstobeincorporatedintothissolicitationdocumentarisingfrom

10.0 TERMINATIONOFAGREEMENT:

10.1ThisContractmaybeterminatedbytheCityPurchasingAgentuponfifteen(15)daysnoticeinwriting,ifthematerialsand/orservicesfurnisheddonotconformtothestandardsetforthherein;orifthedeliveriesandservicingofthisContractdonotconformtotherequirementsdetailedherein.

11.0 CONTRACTCOMPLETION:

11.1TheContractorshallcompletethiscontractwithintwentyone(21)calendardaysfromdategivennoticetoproceed.Allworkistobeperformedduringnormalbusinesshours.

12.0CLEAN-UP:

12Unlessspecificationsstateotherwiseatthecompletionofallwork,Contractorshallremovefromtheareaalltrash,rubbish,anddebriscausedbyitsoperations,leavingthejobsiteclean.

13.0PRODUCTLITERATURE/SPECIFICATIONSHEETS:

13.1 Toevaluatebids,the userdepartmentandtheCitypurchasingstaffmayrequireproductliterature/specificationsheets.Whenrequired,thebidders(s)shouldsubmittherequestedproductliterature/specificationsheetswithinfive(5)

calendardaysfromdateofrequest. FAILUREONBIDDER'SPARTTOFURNISH THEREQUESTED TECHNICALDATAINTHETIMELIMITGIVENABOVEMAYBECAUSEFOR REJECTIONOFTHEBIO.
