Explanative Statement:
In our published bid, we specified a hydraulic tool system capable of operating at either 5K or 10.5K psi.
The fire company would maximize a unique opportunity available to us and upgrade the configuration to the 10.5K prior to construction which we feel is in the best interest of maximizing the capacity of the new rescue vehicle that should be in service the for next 20+ years. The higher operating pressure translates into additional cutting, spreading and lifting power on the HURST JAWS of Life system we will employ on the apparatus.
