HOW DO I USE THIS CHART?
· Highlight the name(s) of the scholarship(s) in which you are interested.
· If instructions are given to “Please see Mrs. Hoffman in the Counseling Center,” write your name at the top of the chart and return it to Mrs. Hoffman.
· The required paperwork will be delivered to you in class.
· If a website is listed, all necessary documents will be found there.
The scholarships are listed in order by due date.

· Be a graduating, minority high school senior
· Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States
· Show leadership potential
· Demonstrate a dedication to community service
· Present evidence of financial need
· Be a United States citizen
· Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21
· Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year college when applying for the scholarship

Heart O’Texas Fair & Rodeo Sweetheart & Mascot Scholarship / 2-2-18 (by NOON) / Please see Mrs. Hoffman in the Counseling Center. / Criteria:
· 10th-12 grade student
· Must have an 85 or higher GPA
· Must be a female, living with a parent or guardian, unmarried and without children
· Must be willing and able to serve as a volunteer for a minimum of 100 hours throughout the year

Texas Restaurant Association – W. Price, Jr. Memorial Scholarship / 2-15-18 / Please see Mrs. Hoffman in the Counseling Center. / Criteria:
· Must enroll (in the fall) in any degreed foodservice or hospitality program
· Must plan to register as a full time student (12+ hours) with at least 3 hours per semester devoted to foodservice or hospitality courses
· Must provide proof of enrolled hours after the final drop date
· Must have an overall GPA of 2.75

· A high school graduate who has earned a recommended or distinguished diploma
· A member of a household whose parents' adjusted gross income does not exceed $45,000
· Eligible to receive Federal Pell Grant and must submit all financial aid forms with supporting documents byMarch 15, 2018
· Enrolled as a full-time student (at least 24 credit hours within an academic year) at the University of Houston
