4. Activities to Enhance Skill Development: All areas will have role play of correct and incorrect procedures for each location modeled by a combination of teachers, staff and students. All students will then demonstrate correct procedures.
5. Activities to Check for Understanding: A cooperative learning activity or active quiz will be given for students to rate appropriate and inappropriate procedures in each environment.
6. Activities to Extend Skill Development: Classroom teachers will follow-up with thumbs up or down on reviewing the skill that week for each area.
7. Acknowledgements to Maintain Positive Behaviors: High Flyer awards are given in each area to encourage appropriate procedures.

AUDIENCE PROCEDURES

  • Walk in silently.
  • Sit in the appropriate seat.
  • Follow directions.
  • Listen respectfully.
  • Applaud appropriately.

CAFETERIA PROCEDURES

  • You may only go through the line one time.
  • Sit at your assigned table.
  • Raise your hand if you need some help; someone will come to assist you.
  • You may talk quietly at your table with your friends. Remember to use your inside voice.
  • Clean up after yourself when you’ve finished eating. Check the floor under your seat and table for trash.

CAR-RIDER PROCEDURES

  • Proceed to the car-rider area and take a seat on the covered walkway.
  • Remain seated quietly until you are given directions by the teacher.
  • Go quickly but cautiously to your car if it is parked in the loading zone.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

  • Follow hallway procedures and go to the cafeteria if you are a bus rider, or the car rider area out front if you are a car rider
  • In the cafeteria, sit at the assigned table for your bus.
  • Keep your belongings inside your backpack.
  • Walk in a single file line behind your teacher to your bus.
  • If you are a car rider, remain seated in the loading area until you are called to go to your car.

PLAYGROUND PROCEDURES

  • Follow poster playground equipment rules.
  • Line up quickly and quietly when signaled.
  • Enter the building silently and stay in classroom lines until you reach your destination.
  • Stay within playground boundaries and within the sight of your teacher at all times.
  • Climb on the equipment only.
  • You must sit in the swings and only one person in a swing at a time.
  • Only one person on the slide at a time and you must go down sitting with your feet first.

RESTROOM PROCEDURES

  • Follow hallway procedures on the way to and from the restroom.
  • Make appropriate use of the restroom. Don’t be in a rush, and remember to flush.
  • Respect the privacy of others.
  • Respect restroom property.
  • Wash your hands.
  • Make sure you throw away your paper towel after you’ve dried your hands.
