Memphis Events

Sept 1-Oct 31: LEVITT SHELL FREE FALL CONCERT SERIES. Located in Overton park, the Levitt Shell provides free musical concerts. Concerts are held at 7 PM every night Thursday through Sunday.

Sept 15-Oct 15: FETCH CLAY, MAKE MAN. Hattiloo Theatre hosts a play about the meeting between Muhammad Ali and Stepin Fetchit, their friendship and their public lives. Tickets range from $18-$30.

Sept 21-24: REPAIR DAYS 2017. The Metal Museum hosts 200 skilled metalsmiths from across the country. There will be blacksmithing demos, family fun activities, performances by Opera Memphis, auction, and much more.

Sept 19-24: RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN’S THE KING AND I. The Orpheum Theatre hosts this Tony award-winning production. The show occurs a couple of times over the weekend, concluding on Sunday at 6:30 PM.

Sept 22-October 8: SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE. Playhouse on the Square hosts this musical about when Young Will Shakespeare has writer’s block and a beautiful woman comes to his rescue. Tickets range from $10-$40.

Sept 23: BREAKFEST. Enjoy games, food trucks, and live music while local teams compete in the third annual BreakFest. 10 AM – 4 PM. Tickets are $10 for GA and $30 for VIP access to a waffle bar and Bloody Mary tasting.

Sept 23: AMAZING SCAVENGER HUNT ADVENTURE-MEMPHIS. Guided from any smart phone, teams make their way around Memphis solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history. Start and play at your own pace between 10AM – 7PM. Cost is $39.20 for a team of 2-5 people. Sign up online at www.UrbanAdventureQuest.com.

Sept 24: MEMPHIS JAPAN FESTIVAL. From 10 AM – 5 PM, celebrate Japanese culture with children’s activities, cultural lectures, food, and entertainment at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. Admission to the festival is $5 and includes access to the Gardens.
