Four at $2,000 each

Requirements:

-Applicant must be a student who is either or whose parent is either and employee of an AMP – Ohio electric system or is an employee of AMP – Ohio

-applicant must either live with the parent outlined above or live at another residence within the area in which that parent is employed

--applicant must be a graduating senior planning to attend college

-applicant must have 3.0 GPA

-applicant must be a student whose household receives electricity from an AMP-Ohio member community

-cannot have an immediate family member be an employee of AMP-Ohio or an AMP-Ohio member municipal electric system

-applicant must be a graduating senior planning to attend college

-applicant must have 3.0 GPA

Midwest Electric and Touchstone Scholarships

Nearly $25,000 available at the local and statewide levels

Minimum 3.5 GPA for Midwest Electric General Scholarship – six scholarships awarded locally

Minimum 2.75 GPA for Touchstone Scholarship – one $1000 award will be awarded locally.

-must be a son, daughter, or legal ward of a Midwest Electric customer

-members of immediate families and persons residing in the households of trustees, managers, employees of Midwest Electric are not eligible to participate

Pioneer Electric Cooperative

One $2000 scholarships and One $1500 scholarships

In addition, the recipients of the awards are then eligible to compete for scholarships from the Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (OREC)

Requirements:

-All applicants must be a son, daughter, or legal ward of a Pioneer Electric Cooperative member.

-Applicants must have all basic credits for college or proper vocational or technical school entrance. (Proper vocational or technical school must educate beyond high school and credits earned must be transferable to a state-accredited college.) They must have a current career average of 3.8 (based on a 4-point scale) or better. Eligible applicants also may be accepted and then enrolled in an accredited in an accredited school of nursing, working toward a degree or graduation.

-be a child or grandchild of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2010

Honda Transmission Manufacturing in Russells Point

In this program, Honda is looking to form a relationship with some of the top-rated local schools to hire students as co-ops the summer BEFORE they attend college.

Requirements to Apply:

-be in the top 20% of your class

-intend to major in mechanical or electrical engineering at an accredited college in fall 2013

Space is limited to 4 students from more than 13 high schools. To be considered, send a professional resume and cover letter to Mrs. Wendel by Friday, February 22. If you do not meet the criteria, but you are still interested, please express your interest to Mrs. Wendel.

Lima and AllenCounty Medical Alliance

One scholarship of up to $1,000

Requirements:

-senior in high school or recent graduate who will be entering college for the first year of studies

-pursuing a HUMAN HEALTH/ SCIENCE-BASED FIELD OF STUDY

-3.0 gpa

-must demonstrate financial need

-must be a resident of Allen, Auglaize, or PutnamCounty
