· Kinsmen letter
Gerry read a letter from the Kinsmen club regarding a request for Rotary to forward any funds we may have raised for the Transfer Beach Playground.
· District Community Grants
The District Foundation Seminar in Nanaimo is closed for registration now.
Directors Report:
· CLUB SERVICE
Club is working at creating a change to how we conduct our meetings. They are looking at different models.
· COMMUNITY SERVICE
MOTION: M/S John/Bonnie: To sell the kitchen trailer at the best possible price whether in parts or as a whole. Carried
The Club is going to take a break from making the Muskoka chairs.
Coats for folks will be in November
Ken has been working hard on the boat launch with the Town
Bonnie spoke to the Light up Committee. A request to sponsor a tree was considered by the Club a regular meeting and supported by the Club
MOTION: M/S Bonnie/Cheryl: To sponsor a tree for 5 years at a one time cost of $400. Carried
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
· The grant for the Playground tables for access challenged individuals is going as planned. The M.O.U. with the town is going through their process
· John is proposing a raffle for a Disaster Aid Kit
· The Syrian refugee situation is one that John would like to give an overview to the Club
· John reported on the Guatemalan project that there is interest by some members to get involved with this initiative
VOCATIONAL/YOUTH SERVICE

Suggestions were given for an alternative to the certificate recognition
MOTION: M/S Michael/John: To set aside $1000 for matching member donations to Foundation or Polio Plus to a maximum of $100 for any member until the account is spent Carried

MOTION: M/S Ron/Bonnie: To remove Paul Williams and add Cheryl Leukefeld and Gerry Beltgens as signing authorities on the bank accounts with LDCU. Carried
MOTION: M/S Bonnie/Ron: to accept the financial report as circulated. Carried

· LAFF request for a chair. Redirected for follow up
· Marketing – PR for Golf Tournament—Gerry will request a report for the press from Joan to acknowledge all those that made the Golf Tournament a success.

Oct.24th Saturday is Polio Plus Day Worldwide, on Oct .22nd Foundation Night, can we do anything for Polio Plus or did you want to keep until Dec.5th?
Foundation
All Foundation Donations should be given to Foundation Chair first to be recorded
After recorded, they will be given to Treasurer for deposit
Foundation donations will be transferred to RI quarterly so District has a record in a timely manner.
Foundation Presentation on Oct.22nd with help from Michael
Foundation/ Grant Seminar by Bill McCarthy at UVI on Oct.17th 7.30am – 5.00pm John Mulrooney, Don Mercer and Cheryl L. will attend
