Job Title: Premier League Kicks Development Officer
Department: Bolton Wanderers Community Trust
Responsible to: Lead Officer – Community Cohesion
Purpose of role: To implement Bolton Wanderers Community Trust’s Premier League Kicks project in line with predefined outcomes, outputs and aims to young people aged 8-19 years old with a primary focus on 12-18 year olds in and around Bolton.
To develop the brand new Premier League Kicks Discretionary Fund in line with predefined outputs and aims to young people aged 8 – 19 years old with a focus on 12-18 year olds.
Main duties and responsibilities:
·  To be an ambassador of BWCT by supporting us in narrowing the gap of disadvantage within Bolton by working at the heart of the community with the community at its heart; offering excellent customer service at all times and upholding the professional image of BWFC and BWCT.
·  To further-develop the already successful Premier League Kicks project within Bolton ensuring all sessions are staffed, participant data is collected and sessions are of a high quality.
·  To oversee the planning, implementation, development and delivery of the brand new Premier League Kicks Discretionary Fund in line with pre-defined outcomes, working with severely disadvantaged young people in partnership with Bolton Council.
·  To ensure all participant data is logged into Views as set out in the requirements by the Premier League in relation to any associated projects/programmes.
·  To represent Premier League Kicks & Bolton Wanderers Community Trust at relevant activities and to develop networks with other agencies involved in sport and youth work in Bolton and surrounding boroughs.
·  To enable as many young people the opportunity to take part in the programme and deliver high quality sport and positive activity sessions that are inclusive to all.
·  To effectively engage with hard-to-reach young people at sessions, whilst acting as a role model and a blue-print for best practice.
·  To perform other duties as required, which are considered relevant to the post and to the objectives of BWCT.
·  To represent Bolton Wanderers Community Trust at any relevant activities/events.

Person Specification
AREA / QUALITIES / ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE / MEASURED
QUALIFICATIONS / A nationally recognised qualification in youth & community work, or a recognised equivalent / ü  / Application
Level 2 Coaching qualification in any sport or working towards / ü  / Application
A-Levels or equivalent qualifications / ü  / Application
Level 1 in a number of other sports / ü  / Application
KNOWLEDGE / Knowledge of the particular requirements of 12-19 year olds and of the different issues facing young people, particularly those who have experienced difficulties or challenges / ü  / Interview & Application
Knowledge of the particular requirements of 8 – 19 year olds within the care system / ü  / Interview & Application
Knowledge and experience of working with severely disadvantaged children who may be on the verge of going into care, in care, at risk of offending or at risk of exclusion from school / ü  / Interview & Application
ABILITIES AND SKILLS / Ability to demonstrate working with hard to engage young people / ü  / Application, Interview & practical
