Do not try it on or remove any packaging if you feel the color is wrong.

Free hair spray: Barrel Curls, Barrel piggies & Tottle styles are in bare material when they arrive to you. They come with hair spray and should be sprayed before use. Take these items out of their netting. Hold up hairpiece by putting your fist in the net of the hairpiece. Then holding the hair spray approx 10 inches from piece mist well all over. Set in a flat place out of the sun to dry curls down. We suggest spraying again before events and after. If a curl becomes a little frizzy, wrap it around your finger and spray.

Toggle: A toggle is the black stopper sometimes attached to your drawstrings. Not all pieces have them as of yet. Be careful not to pull and force the hairpiece off with out pushing on the stopper release or you will strip the drawstring. We consider this user error.

  1. First if your style has 2 or more strings make sure your strings are knotted together or you might pull them right through the hairpiece. If you have 1 or 2 strings and a loop, knot the string and put it through the loop. Then put your hair in bun the best you can (use a thin hair band). Or if you have 2 drawstrings and a stopper, simply push the button on the stopper to loosen or tighten the hairpiece. Make sure your strings are tied together after the stopper before you apply. Always press on stoppers button to release cords when removing the hairpiece.
  2. Now you are ready to attach. Make a ponytail with a thin hair band, and then create your bun. You need to make the bun as flat as possible; it does not have to be perfect.
  3. Set the comb that is on the top of your hairpiece firmly between the scalp and the hair band. Push down firmly.
  4. Next set the curls attached to the netting over the bun and pull tight on the strings. Note: If your hairpiece has a bottom comb, push that comb up into your hair to secure. Then pull the drawstrings tight and tie in a double-knotted bow and tuck under the hairpiece. If you have a black stopper simply push up and set the stopper and then tuck the strings under the netting.
  5. Spiral pigtails: Put hair in small buns on both sides of the head. Use thin hair bands. Take the 3 prong flat comb and press it down between the scalp and the hair band then pull hairpiece over bun and pull on the 2 drawstrings at the same time to tighten hair in netting. Once tight, tie strings in small double-knotted bow then tie ribbon in bow. The ribbon can be hidden by a school bow if need be.
  6. See online attachment button for visual help and other attachment methods.

Storage of hairpieces: store in zip-lock bag that comes with hairpiece or some girls purchase Glad plastic disposable containers.
