AIS-2008

«ATMOSPHERE, IONOSPHERE, SAFETY»

Kaliningrad, July 7-12, 2008

CONFERENCE SCOPE

Dear colleagues!

The International Conference “Atmosphere, ionosphere, safety” (AIS-2008) will be held July 7-12, 2008, in Kaliningrad, Russia. AIS-2008 will promote the analysis of the “atmosphere-ionosphere” system response on the natural and anthropogenic processes, cause and effect of different concomitant geophysical phenomena, and the estimation of its effect on mankind and technological systems. The final outlet is the possibility of monitoring and subsequent reduction of the risk level. It is supposed also to discuss physical and chemical processes accompanying the visible geophysical phenomena.

TOPICAL THEMES

·  Elementary processes in the upper atmosphere and ionosphere (section E)

·  Dynamics of atmosphere aerosols (section A)

·  Electromagnetic and optical phenomena in the atmosphere including long-lived and plasma objects (section P)

·  Ionosphere dynamics and atmosphere - ionosphere coupling (section D)

·  Information systems of the environment monitoring and the accident prevention (section S)

The Conference Scientific Program will include:

·  invited plenary and keynote lectures

·  oral presentations

·  poster sessions

We would like kindly to invite all scientists interested in understanding and exploring chemical and physical processes in atmosphere and ionosphere for an exciting 6-day scientific summer event to Kaliningrad (former Koenigsberg).
