Pittsburgh PMI Project Management Company of the Year Award 2015 Application

Award Summary

The Company of the Year award is given to the Pittsburgh area company that best demonstrates a commitment to the practice and furthering of Project Management as a profession. Each applicant will be reviewed by a team of judges. The recommended winner will be presented to the Pittsburgh Chapter Board for approval. Once approved, the winner will be formally recognized at a local chapter meeting.

Purpose

To reward those companies that promote Project Management as a profession so they continue to do so and become attractive to the best Project Management employees. There are over 1,400 local PMI Pittsburgh chapter members who highly value the chapter’s research on which company in the area is the most supportive of project managers and is the best place to work. We want to understand how your company is making improvements to better the use of Project Management and Project Management methodologies.

Rules of Entry

1) The person applying for the award is doing so on behalf of their current organization and must be employed by that organization.

2) The application is to be completed and sent to by 11:59 pm on November 20, 2015 in order to be considered. Late applications will not be accepted.

Award Judging

The application will be reviewed by a team of volunteer judges from the PMI Pittsburgh Chapter. The judges will be selected from companies which did not apply for the award. Each question will be scored on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being the lowest rating and 5 being the highest rating. Each section has been given a predetermined weighting and the winner will be the company with the highest overall score. If a situation arises where there is a tie, the tie will be broken by the final decision of the Pittsburgh PMI Chapter Board of Directors.

Award Winner

The winning organization will be presented with a plaque during a chapter meeting during the 1st quarter 2016 based on the winning organization’s availability. They will also be spotlighted on the Pittsburgh PMI Chapter website and given the opportunity to present their Project Management Best Practices at a future chapter meeting.
