Individual Idle Comments:
-Alvis Teri: “You could walk off with all of Ald’ruhn and the Redorans wouldn’t even notice.” and “Isn’t this the best looking helm you’ve ever seen?”
-DulneaRalaal: “Does anyone in here know any good jokes?” and “I need to do something to liven this place up a bit.”
-Itermerel: “My research is critical. I must get it finished.” and “Do the daedrons in the Oblivion Stream influence magic, or isthe reverse true?”
-MerilHlaano: “With enough gold anything is possible in politics.” and “House Redoran and Telvanni will be stopped.”
-Traven Marvos: “Where does Nileno get some of these new recruits?” and “For speed it’s hard to beat light armor and short blades.”
Player-directed Greetings:
-None.
Paired Conversations:
-DulneaRalaaland Itermerel:
- DulneaRalaal: “Ser, is everything alright?”
- Itermerel: “I admit I am slightly distracted. My work is quite difficult, but of extreme importance.”
- DulneaRalaal: “And what is your work?”
- Itermerel: “I’m sorry, but it is much too difficult to explain to the uninitiated.”
-Alvis Teri and Traven Marvos:
- Alvis Teri: “And then I just walked in and took it.”
- Traven Marvos: “Nobody saw you? Not even the guards?”
- Alvis Teri: “The guards? Traven, Redoran guards are mere decorations, things to make you feel better but of no practical use…”
-MerilHlaano and Traven Marvos:
- MerilHlaano: “There is talk of expanding the Caldera operation.”
- Traven Marvos: “That might be tricky business, Ser.House Redoran won’t like it at all.”
- MerilHlaano: “The groundwork has already been started with the Duke’s people. Everyone can use a bit of extra gold, even smug Imperial bureaucrats.”
- Traven Marvos: “I hope our recruitment efforts are going well. We will likely need the additional manpower soon.”
-DulneaRalaal and MerilHlaano:
- DulneaRalaal: “I am honored to serve your House’s retainers, Ser, but I can’t tolerate them damaging my property.”
- MerilHlaano: (Lighthearted) “Come now, Sera, they were just blowing off a little steam. As they say, boys will be boys…”
- DulneaRalaal: (Coldly) “Maybe, but I’m not their mother, and I’m certainly not going to clean up after them any longer. Tell your council to reign in their ‘boys’, or some of them may get hurt.”
- MerilHlaano:(Serious) “Of course. I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
-Alvis Teri and DulneaRalaal;
- DulneaRalaal: “Alvis, when are you going to get an honest job?”
- Alvis Teri: “Ah, if only the lovely Dulnea would consent to be my bride, I would die a happy man slaving away in an egg mine to buy her jewels.”
- DulneaRalaal: “Alvis, you are a scoundrel!”
- Alvis Teri: “Yes, and that is why you love me so…”
Notes:
-Character locations based on the vanilla Morrowind game, exceptItermerel (see note below).
-The Dunmer terms Sera and Serare used in the context described in the UESP “Lore: Ehlnoflex Languages” page. In this area only Manse Andus is a Dunmer, so only she would probably use these terms.
-UESP indicates that Itermerel can be found at the Eight Plates, but he was missing from my vanilla game. He is part of a quest, so maybe he shows up later.
-Itermerel’sgibberish about the Oblivion Stream came from his notes. I hope the arrogance of the Altmer comes through in his conversations.
-Ald’ruhn is the council seat of House Redoran.
-Alvis Teri has stolen the Founders Helm from House Redoran (“Founders Helm” quest). He wears the helm at the Eight Plates and brags about the theft to others.
-If you have the “Entertainer” plug-in DulneaRalaal may offer the player a job as an entertainer. This is where the idea for her idle comments came from.
-If you want to join House Hlaalu you must speak with NinenoDorvayn.
