  1. PUBLIC REPRESENTATIONS
  2. A resident expressed concerns about plans for removal of trees on Quarry Lane. He had employed an expert to write a report, which he will submit to Leeds City Council, as he considersthe removal to be contrary to the Wildlife Act.

POLICE
A written report was received. There had been 2 burglaries of houses on Ling Lane. In both cases, entry had been gained by smashing bedroom windows at the rear of the property after climbing onto flat/pitched roofs. Property was stolen in both cases, and police ask residents to ensure that their burglar alarms are set when they are away from home. Additionally, the police ask residents to recheck their security, and make it difficult for thieves to access low roofs or conservatories.

PLANNING
a. 18/01627/TR- Electricity Sub Station- whilst minded toleave the decision to the Tree Officer, the council is aware that there are a number of TPOs on this siteand wished to express its concern that the look and character of the site has been severely altered as a result of TPO applications still being open.
ORGANISATIONAL MATTERS
  1. The council received the report of the playground inspection-
  1. The bolts had been trimmed as suggested
ii. The trees had already been surveyed, when work was done on them at the start of building the playground
iii. Standing water was already being addressed, consultant’s report awaited
iv. Resolved to put additional soil and seeding on the banking, and a sign stating
‘No Climbing on the Bank’
  1. Resolved to submit the draft Neighbourhood Development Plan to LCC
  2. Resolved not to comment on Ethical Standards consultation
  3. Resolved not to comment on NPPF consultation
  4. Resolved that Clerk and Cllr Angus would meet to discuss GDPR

  1. The NDP is now ready for submission, and the PC resolved tonight to sign off and submit to LCC.

VILLAGE MATTERS
  1. Damage to railings to front of village hall- awaiting response from Churchill insurance re replacement.
  2. Playground- see 7a, no further maintenance required at the moment.
  3. Resolved to respond to request for meeting with developer of Wood Farm by inviting them to April meeting.
