Facebook Page

Directions – Create a Facebook page for the person you chose. Use the check list below to make sure all elements are included then use the template found at http://www.savannahr3.com/Page/766 (Mrs. Ross’ web page) to place the elements appropriately on the page.

Check list:

ü  Picture of historical figure (HF)

ü  At least 6 friends with picture and relationship to HF

ü  At least 5 significant events to post on timeline

ü  Find all basic info

ü  Quote that the HF would have liked or a quote from the HF

ü  Something for HF to post (can be an actual quote but must be different from previous quote)

ü  One sentence to set the stage for the post

ü  Create a thread that could have been a reaction to the HF posted quote

ü  Interesting story about HF that can be told in class (this story does not have to relate to the post but it can).

Once the page is complete:

ü  BEFORE PRINTING, change from “full page slide” to “2 slides” so both slides can be turned in on one page (print, change ‘full page slides’ to ‘2 slides’)

ü  Email Mrs. Ross completed Facebook page so it can be presented more easily – let’s avoid the jump drive jumping

ü  Be prepared to tell an interesting story about the HF learned from the research done during this assignment

Grade for assignment

ü  During presentations the class will be using the peer evaluation rubric to grade the first slide.

ü  Peer evaluations will be averaged together for 50 points

ü  Slide 2 will be graded for content accuracy and appearance by Mrs. Ross using the teacher evaluation rubric attached.
