7.01 Friends-Asking Friends – Karen Bustamante (Discussion)

The SCC Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises money and spreads the news about SCC. Team SCC is a new platform that the foundation is sponsoring. Team SCC is similar to kick starter and other crowd funding sites. Anyone can create teams under Team SCC and raise money for the school. There is a 5% fee.

The Orange County Auto Show is October 15-18, 2015 and tickets are $12 online. Proceeds goes back to the foundation.

7.02 Transfer Center Presentation – Robert Waldren (Discussion)

Chico State is coming out for advisement appointments. UC Berkley will be on campus next Tuesday and will be having appointments and a workshop. UCLA has an appointment date November 4, 2015. Transfer Fair on November 4, 2015 will be a big event with close to 50 colleges coming. There will also be a workshop on November 4, 2015 where there will be a Q&A about different colleges. Pre-Law workshop will be presented by UCI. The Transfer Center is right next to counseling in D-104. The hours are Monday Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-7pm, Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm.

7.04 November Movie Night – Sydney Gaughan (Discussion/ Action)

November Movie Night will be Inside Out. Looking to allocate $200 for snacks and food.

7.05 Request for Funds for Coffee Informative by Conscious Law Club – Daniel Rebolledo (Discussion/ Action)

They will be presenting the different student services to the students on October 27, 2015 from 5:30pm-9:00pm. They plan on giving out snacks.

8.01 Inter-Club Council Report

8.02 Senator Reports

Flood- Tomorrow will be a Region 8 meeting. General Assembly will be in a month.

Wagstaff- Two grants were given to SCC Counseling Department.

Puchana- Senator of International Affairs, there will be a field trip around California for the students to get to know one another better.

Nabulsi- TAG plans to implement a plan to move to Illution touch Net that will process credit card purchase through the SCC website. Plan on buying new credit card scanners and having those within the next couple of months. Student up for financial aid will be given cards with money on them. Illution portal implementation team is being assembled and needs two student representatives. Academic Senate on Tuesday discussed the Student Success Program Plan and what they plan to do in the following year. Our calendar for the academic year 2016-2017 will most likely move intercession up to January 3, 2016.

8.03 Director Reports

Orrillo- Director of Athletics, the SCC v SAC men’s soccer game went well, and next game will be Tuesday at 3:00pm.

Carr- Director of Green Operations, Everything has been approved for the beach cleanup at Beach Tower #7 at Huntington State Beach Friday October 16, 2015 from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Afterwards there will be Ultimate Frisbee and a bonfire. Try to carpool. Someone please bring a table and speaker.

Hatch- Director of Community Service, Muck Fest needs volunteers

Nawabi- Director of Marketing, Finally got the funds for shirts and is currently working on creating new lanyards.

8.04 Executive Reports

Pham- Had a meeting with the head of the music department. There will be a toys for tots event and ___. The ASG room will be changed by Monday.

Gaughan- October 22, 2015 is October movie night from 7:00pm-10:00pm. The movie being played will be Annabelle. Reverse Trick or Treating is October 29, 2015 all day. Please dress up and participate! There is a new PR Director. Looking for a Director of Academics and a Director of Fundraising.

Spence- Check requests are due three weeks in advance.

Underwood- The GOP Debate will be October 29, 2015 at 6:30pm. Students will be able to register to vote at the event. Please try to make classroom presentations about the event to spread the word, but ask how the report should go beforehand.

Nabulsi- Town Hall will be October 26 and 27, 2015 from 11:00am-2:00pm and 4:00pm-6:00pm. Senator of Honors and Senator of Student Success are open.

8.05 Office of Student Life and Leadership Report

8.06 Board of Trustee Liaison Report

The District Safety Report was sent out to students here at SCC. The Region 8 meeting at SAC will be at 12:00pm in room U-103. The Strategic Plan’s specific purpose has been sent to SAC. Today AB288 was signed into law which will provide students in high school to complete general education classes quicker. Went over recall procedure.

8.07 Delegate Report

Carter- In November there will be the General Assembly from November 14-16, 2015 where members of ASG can attend and go over Resolutions. Region 8 meeting at SAC at 12:00pm.

8.08 Ad-Hoc Reports

Gaughan- Join Banquet Committee. Meetings will be 11:00am Fridays in the ASG room.

Underwood- Obama’s College Promise Ad-Hoc Committee has handed out surveys to students around campus and will continue to survey for the next two weeks. The meetings will be Fridays at 12:00pm in the ASG Room.

IX. Events and Reminders

9.01 Student Service Sticker

If you have not already bought your Student Service Sticker please do so as soon as possible.

9.02 Community Service’s Turn to Clean Room

Please clean up after yourselves in the ASG Room. This week is the Community Service’s turn to clean the room.

9.03 November Movie Night

November Movie Night will be the third Thursday of November. Inside Out will be the movie played.

9.04 Reverse Trick-or-Treating

Reverse Trick-or-Treating will be on October 29, 2015. Please dress up and participate!

9.05 Board of Trustee Reception

The Board of Trustee Reception will be Monday in the auditorium. Reception starts at 4:00pm and the meeting starts at 4:30pm.

X. Public Forum

Soberano- President of the Ultimate Frisbee Club, game will be tomorrow at 3:30pm.

Pham- Pictures will be taken after this meeting.
