Dr. Muhammad Asghar Jamal was born in 1966. He received his early education from well reputed educational institutions of Multan city.He got his MSc degree in the subject of Chemistry with specialization in Physical Chemistry fromInstitute of Chemistry University of the Punjab Lahore. Thenhe joined the Department of Chemistry Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan as a Research Officer on NSRDB research projectunder the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. Afterwards, He obtained his PhD in 2004 from the Institute of Chemistry, University of the Punjab Lahore. The PhD thesis was entitled "Solute-solute and solute-solvent Interactions in Aqueous solutions of ternary Amino acids at 250C”. He has completed his Ph.D degree in the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Muhammad (Institute of Chemistry University of the Punjab Lahore) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal (Department of Chemistry Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan). After attaining his doctoral degree, he joined as Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Former Christian College, University Lahore, then he got an appointment in the Department of Chemistry, GovernmentCollege, University Faisalabadas Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry in 2014. During his stay in GC University Faisalabad, he had completed the HEC funded project of amount Rs. 2.8 million titled “Study of Molecular Interactions in Solutions of Biological and Industrial Importance. He has published more than 40 research papers in impact factor journal and two chapters ofthe physical chemistry book and one as a co-author of Physical chemistry practical note Book. He is also awarded the best teacher awardfor the year 2011 – 2012 by GC University, Faisalabad. So far, Dr. Asghar Jamal has supervised 01 PhDs, 23 MPhil and 50 MSc/BS research students during stay in GC University Faisalabad. A significant number of PhD and Mphil scholars are also working under his supervision. Heis HEC Approved PhD Supervisor. He has attended more than 10 International and National Conferences, Symposia, Seminars, Workshops etc.
