Regular Membership

Rules and Guidelines

(Support Providers)

  1. General Description of an OLFI Regular Member:
  • An OLFI Regular Member is an OLFI Associate Member who has decided to elevate his/her status to become an OLFI Regular member.
  • This membership has two sub-groups:
  • Service-Providers – are support-services workers who intend to live in the HHHC community and provide manpower either as a worker or a volunteer;
  • Service-Recipients – are families with special/additional needs members.
  1. Rights, Privileges, and Benefits of OLFI Regular Members:

Aside from enjoying the rights, privileges, and benefits of an OLFI Associate Member, an OLFI Regular Member:

  • Is entitled to lifetimeOLFI Regular membership
  • Use of “My Big House” facilities as stipulated in the attached document entitled Allotments and Entitlements
  • Full participation in community activities and programs facilitated by OneLife Foundation, Inc. stipulated in the attached document entitled Allotments and Entitlements
  • Become a lessor of a unit available for lease following the established queuing system.
  1. Duties and Responsibilities of an OLFI Regular Member

a)As contained in the Board Resolution No. 2 Series of 2015, the amount of ninety thousand and two hundred pesos (P 90,200.00) shall be the membership fee required as an OLFI Regular Member for Service-Providers.

If an AssociateMember of good standing has finally decided to join the Happy Homes community as an OLFI Regular member, the existing membership balance for the current year shall be applied on pro-rated basis to his new type of membership.

b)Checks shall be made payable to: OneLife Foundation, Inc.

c)Documentary requirement for OLFI Regular Membership:

  1. The OLFI Regular Member shall duly accomplish the required membership application form for OLFI Regular Membership as attached herein.
  2. TheOLFI Regular Member shall sign a Membership Agreement Form with some of the more important provisions contained in the Participant’s Handbook:
  3. Acceptance of “My Big House” Design and the Terms of Use of its facilities;
  4. Acceptance of the Provisions of the Allotments;
  5. Acceptance of the Community Living Policy;
  6. Actively participate in the community programs.
  7. Other forms and documents may be required as needed.
  1. Membership Rules and Guidelines:

a)The OLFI Regular Member’s Rules and Guidelines shall be covered in complete detail in the Participant’s Handbook. This includes the Community Living Policy which is a draft set of policies and guidelines that govern the community. The approved set will be established by the Resident Council when the community comes into being.

a)Members, member designates, immediate family members and their guests must abide by all the rules established by the Happy Homes Housing Cooperative community as they may be amended from time to time as the need arises. Members and member designates are responsible for ensuring that their immediate family members and guests should comply with the provisions of the Community Living Policy of the Happy Homes Housing Cooperative community.

  1. Withdrawal: Members may withdraw with agreement to the following provisions:
  2. A withdrawing member will notify OneLife Foundation, Inc. of their withdrawal by completing a Membership Withdrawal Form and giving a 60-day notice to the Board of Trustees
  3. No member shall be allowed to withdraw or terminate his membership during any period in which he has any pending obligation with OneLife Foundation, Inc.
  4. Policies regarding Transfer/Refund of the membership fee that was paid:

Transfer or refund (less tax and other charges) will take place at the time when another member replaces the available slot.

  1. Waiver of Liability and Release from Indemnity for OneLife Foundation, Inc:

a)While OneLife Foundation, Inc. shall undertake judicious and reasonable care in ensuring the safety of its amenities and facilities including the security of the residents within the Happy Homes Housing Cooperative

community, the possibility of inadvertent accidents and injuries due to negligence of its agents and employees and other acts of God could still occur within the Happy Homes Housing Cooperative community.

b)Consequently, the OLFI Regular Member shall hereby release, discharge, and free from any harm OneLife Foundation, Inc., its officers, trustees, administrators, agents, employees, members, volunteers, other members of the Happy Homes Housing Cooperative community, including any sponsors, advertisers and, if applicable,

owners and lessors of premises on which a community activity may take place, from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages as caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence, force majeure, acts of God or inadvertent accidents or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations; and the OLFI Regular Member further agrees that if, despite this release and waiver of liability, assumption of risk and Indemnity Agreement the OLFI Regular Member , his assignees, designates or anyone on his behalf shall indemnify, save, and hold harmless OneLife Foundation,Inc., its officers, trustees, and administrators, agents, employees, members, volunteers, and other members including any sponsors, advertisers and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises from any litigation expenses, attorney’s fees, loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as the result of such claim.

c)The OLFI Regular Member having read this Waiver of Liability and Release from Indemnity Clause, fully understands its terms, understands that he has given up substantial rights by signing this Clause and have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law and agree further that if any portion of this Agreement is held to be invalid the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.

d)Changes to this Agreement: This agreement may be amended by the Established Process of the Community. Upon amendment, members will be obligated to sign the amendment to the agreement.
