Associate Event Planner – Non-Exempt, Part-Time

Organization

Sweet Pea Events in our Dallas location is responsible for all weddings, social celebrations, fundraisers, etc.

Primary Objective

This position reports to the Owner of Sweet Pea Events and is responsible for assisting with administrative responsibilities as well as assisting with weddings and events. From an operational standpoint, this individual will ensure that the Sweet Pea Events Dallas office is organized, will help with communication efforts, and overall client customer service.

Pay Range

$15-20/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

The Associate Event Planner is specifically responsible for the following functions:

(1)Daily ongoing administrative functions

(a)Respond to new customer inquiries

(b)Create potential client packets

(c)Create new client folders

(d)Records maintenance for client binders

(2)Oversee the Dallas office “Thursday Therapy” networking group:

(a)Plan monthly networking event and partners with venues to host

(b)Lead for communicating with Thursday Therapy guests

(c)Manage guest list for Thursday Therapy

(3)Wedding Management

(a)Assist Lead Event/Wedding Planner at weddings or events

(b)May act as a Lead Event/Wedding Planner at times

(c)Client communication

(d)Manage post-event feedback process

(4)Blog Contributor – provide fresh and interesting content for the Company blog

(5)Misc. duties as assigned (Please note that the above Job Responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and employee may be asked, as needed, to perform duties outside of their routine responsibilities in this role.)
