Assistant Account Manager

This full-time entry-level position entails providing support to our current personal and commercial lines service representatives with the purpose of delivering superior service and insurance needs to our clients.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Account Manager position assists both our Commercial Lines (50%) and Personal Lines (50%) departments. Works to ensure client retention goals are met by responding promptly to requests from the Sales Executives and Account Managers.

  • Participate in basic client services such as issuing certificates of insurance, evidence of property cover age and auto ID cards
  • Assist account managers and sales team with policy administration, renewal preparation and preparing proposals.
  • Process various documents such as policies, audits, cancellations and reinstatements.
  • Assist in invoicing documents including installment plans and multi-client invoicing.
  • Maintain client information in the agency management system and update reports.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as needed/assigned by agency management.

Qualifications

  • Wisconsin Property & Casualty license preferred but not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage work load.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Enthusiastic, professional and organized
  • College degree

Administrative Assistant

This is a part-time (25-30 hours/week) receptionist/administrative assistant position. The position requires a wide variety of administrative functions at a high level of performance, accuracy and dependability. As the first impression for our agency, the receptionist creates a welcoming environment in the front lobby.

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming calls and greets walk-in clients in a professional manner and directs caller/guest to the appropriate person.
  • Greets walk-in clients in a professional manner.
  • Keeps track of agency personnel throughout the day.
  • Sorts and distributes agency mail.
  • Performs accurate data entry regarding client policies.
  • Performs assigned technical responsibilities related the personal lines or commercial lines departments. May develop, run, analyze, and distribute spreadsheets and reports to department management.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as needed/assigned by agency management.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance industry preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Enthusiastic and organized
  • Professional demeanor with strong sense of customer service
  • Good oral and written communication skills
