Project description

This project is one of the tasks that will help you to obtain CPC30208 Certificate III in Carpentry. It is designed to build on knowledge and skills you have gained in previous training or workplace experience.

This project relates directly to the following unit/s of competency.

Practical assessment task

·  This Assessment Task requires you to carry out OHS requirements through safe work practices. It requires the performance of work in a safe manner through awareness of risks and work requirements, and the planning and performance of safe work practices with concern for personal safety and the safety of others.

·  This Assessment Task requires you to communicate effectively with other workers in a construction workplace environment. It includes gathering, conveying and receiving information through verbal and written forms of communication.

·  This Assessment Task requires you to plan and organise individual and group work activities including identifying task requirements, planning steps and organising work.

·  This Assessment Task requires that you attain a basic understanding of the structure, culture and role expectations of workers within the construction industry and sustainable use of materials and resources.

Assessment method

You will be assessed on the knowledge and skills you obtain during this project in the following ways.

Knowledge

• Questioning by your instructor both in the classroom and while you undertake project work.

• Completion of Job Safety Analysis sheet and work method statement.

Critical Aspects for Assessment:
A person who demonstrates competency in this Assessment must be able to provide evidence of the ability to plan and organise a variety of work activities. Evidence should be collected over a period of time in a range of general construction relevant contexts and include dealings with an appropriate range of situations.
