Assemblies: Assemblies will take place today as follows:

Period 4 – S4 & S5
Normal arrangements apply i.e. pupils should report to their class teacher first, leave jackets and bags in the classroom, and then be accompanied by their teacher to the hall. (DB)

S2-S5 Moray Titans Rugby League: Moray Titans Coaching staffwould like to attend ElginAcademy and deliver 4 x1 hourafter school coaching sessions to S2 - S5students withhopefully 2 friendly games being played at the end. The sessions would run at the following dates:
Thursday 18 April; Friday 19 April; Wednesday 24 April; Thursday 25 April
If interested in attending please attend a short meeting in the PE dept on Thursday 27March at 1.15pm. (JW)
Pen Drive: A pink ‘Integral’ pen drive was left in one of the computers in Mrs Lee’s Art classroom last Thursday/ Friday. If it’s yours, please pick it up before the end of term. Thank you, Mrs Lee.
Elgin Youth Café – Easter Programme: List of activities for Easter is displayed on the canteen noticeboards and plasma screens.
INFORMATION FOR S1-S3
Activity Days: You should have received your payment slips for Activity Days. These cannot be changed unless a mistake is made eg. the same activity twice or a blank. These activities have been booked and in some cases, payment made. Please only bring money on the payment day set. (TD)
S3 Drama: All pupils studying S3 drama will not have their Drama exams after the holidays. Please ignore any previous information that has been issued. Drama teachers will inform you of the new arrangements after the holidays. Thank you. (AO-L)
S1 - Bannockburn comes to ElginAcademy: Between 16-17 April, all S1 pupils will attend a session about the battle with experts from the National Trust for Scotland. Names of pupils and times they are attending will be out soon. You will hear about why the battle was fought, what happened, look at contemporary sources, take part in decisions making exercises, watch a film about the Battle, handle replica weapons and armour, dress in medieval costume as well as trying on chain mail armour. S1 Bannockburn Visit: On 16 and 17 April (the first Tuesday and Wednesday after the Easter holiday) the National Trust for Scotland Battle of Bannockburn team are visiting the school. We have 3 sessions each day for all S1 pupils to experience the project. Can pupils go to Guidance room B45-47 at the following times:
Tuesday 16 April
09:00 – 10:30 = Class 1.1 along with Kyle Andrew, Julia Balczynska, Kirsty Berrill, Jake Bremner and Jade Campbell from 1.3
11:00 – 12:30 = Class 1.2 along with Craig Cowie, Brandon Craib, Jamie Dunbar and Jack Laing from 1.3
13:40 – 15:10 = Class 1.4 along with Taylor Laing, Amber Lees, Rachel Lewis and Chloe Mackenzie from 1.3
Wednesday 17 April
09:00 – 10:30 = Class 1.5 along with Bradley McKinney, Nathan Moir, Christopher Park and Cameron Wilson from 1.3
11:00 – 12:30 = Class 1.6 along with Meg Scott and Sophie Simpson from 1.3
13:40 – 15:10 = Class 1.7 along with Sam Peach, Finlay Pender, Molly Proctor and Ben Ritchie from 1.3
INFORMATION FOR S4-S6
Diageo Careers Opportunity: There will be a presentation at SpeysideHigh School, Aberlour on Tuesday 16th April from 4pm to 5pm for all S4 to S6 pupils who are interested in an opportunity to work with Diageo.They are looking for pupils who would be interested in opportunities to join their apprenticeship scheme. The presentation is open to all school pupils in Moray and will be held in the Auditorium at SpeysideHigh School. Students would need to provide their own transport to and from the venue. Another event will be planned at ElginHigh School in the very near future – details to follow. (CF)
All EMA Pupils: We have just been advised by the Moray Council that due to the bank holidays over the Easter weekend, the EMA payments to pupils will only go into their banks on Tuesday 2 April.Unfortunately this isout of theircontrol.(EHL)
EMA Deadline: The final deadline for applying for an EMA for school session 2012-13 is 31 March and no applications can be accepted after that date. Forms are available from the office and must be at the Council Headquarters by 31 March. (EHL)
Higher Drama: Can all pupils studying Higher Drama, please sign up for rehearsal slots during the holidays. (Even if your partner cannot attend, you can still come into rehearse). Sign up sheets are on Mrs Ogg’s door. Please attend all rehearsals at lunchtime/after school this week. Thank you. (AO)
S6 - Leavers Ball: The first instalment for the Leavers Ball will be due on the last week of term before Easter. It will be £20. Please pay this to Kieran Mackenzie or Lauren Mackessack-Leitch. The 2nd and final instalment will be due for a date after the holidays and will be substantially less. (K Mackenzie)
