Dear Parent or Guardian,
Congratulations to the members of the Class of 2018! This is an exciting time for all potential graduates. We are very proud of all students for making it to this point. As we approach the end of the year, we would like to invite you to participate in all upcoming senior activities. Our schedule for Senior Spring Activities is as follows:
April 27th Senior Awards Celebration and Senior Luncheon
May 13th Baccalaureate @First Baptist Church
May 19th Graduation
May 19th Graduation Lock in
These events will be meaningful opportunities for your student to celebrate all that they have accomplished here at West and throughout their academic career. In order to provide these opportunities to students, senior fees must be collected every spring. All graduating seniors are responsible for a class fee of $25 that will be used for our graduation ceremony. This will be a very important day for all involved, and we hope to see you in attendance at Thompson Boling Arena ready to celebrate your student’s success with us!
In addition, one of the activities in which we hope your son/daughter will be participating in is Senior Luncheon held at the Downtown Hilton. The Luncheon is April 27th, 2018 and will be from 11:00a.m.-2:00 p.m. This luncheon will immediately follow Senior Awards Celebration. The cost of the luncheon is $25.00. West High School teachers will act as chaperones and escort your student to and from the luncheon. Please find a permission form attached to this letter. If a student has already paid their fees, they simply need to return the permission form.
The Senior Luncheon is optional and those students not attending must remain in school. Everyone attending the Luncheon must ride the bus. No one will be admitted that does not ride the bus. The deadline for all Senior Luncheon documentation will be Friday April 6th.
All Senior fees as well as Senior Luncheon payments should be turned into Mrs. Simerly in Room 117 at West High School. Cash or check will be accepted, and checks are payable to West High School.
