The E-GUIDE

As you would have understood from the newsletter title, next LETHE project step is based on the development of the E-guide for the educators.

The e-guide addressed to teachers, parents and school staff, will be destined to all the persons that are somehow educators and that took part in the education process of young people.

This guide aims to give the users the methodological instruments to supply the pupils with the competences able to contribute to increase the intelligences which are necessary for the human person success.

This is to open new frontiers for the professional growing and awareness of teachers in terms of motivational and emotional aspects.

The E-guide:

 Is not simply a paper-based output, but interactive and based on the EI approach

 Shall contain guidelines to be used by teachers, families and school-managers to implement the pedagogical methods based on emotional intelligence

 Will be useful for teachers, families and school staff helping them to develop a collective knowledge base about ways to apply these teaching practices in a variety of real-life and school contexts

The tool will be available on the project web-site and will be divided into three levels:

1. Educators Environment

2. Teens Environment

3. Children Environment

The dynamism and interactivity of the system will be realized and managed through FLASH programming language.

On the scenes there will be some “interactive objects” will arouse different emotions while playing the game and the user will be fostered to deal with those emotions.

Lets’ go through the different levels…

1.Educators Environment

The scene will open in a Library, animated and interactive. From there it would be possible to download and perform: games, deepening materials, audio contributions, video interviews of European experts.

2. Teens Environment

There will be a sort of cartoon (drawn slides show + animation). The protagonist will be a pirate and through his story the users will have the chance to think over complex emotions

3. Children Environment

There will be two fixed drawn slides on which the users could be trained on the emotions identification

The E-guide will be soon ready to be accessed from the LETHE web-site homepage and we invite all the interested persons to test it.
