JOB TITLE: / Children's Birthday Party Host
HOURS: / No guaranteed hours of work in any given week. Your actual hours to be worked each week will be as necessitated by the needs of the service.
SALARY: / £10.70 per hour

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  1. To provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for children and young people.
  1. To provide party guests with high quality of customer service at all times.
  1. To provide a party atmosphere through character role-play, including organising cutting of the birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday.
  1. To supervise play equipment and support in the delivery of fun party activities and games.

Main Tasks of Job

  1. Greet and assist customers entering the adventure playground party zone.
  1. Explain all site safety rules to children, parents & carers before introducing them to the adventure playground structures.
  1. Coordinate with children’s entertainers to set up party games.
  1. Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and maintaining party tables.
  1. Adhere to strict party timing schedule.
  1. Serve food, beverages, and cake to party guests.
  1. Ensure there is adequate space/seating for all party guests.
  1. Coordinate group photo’s collecting email addressesof party parent as requested to forward on later.
  1. Ensure each party gets everything included in package.
  1. Provide an exceptional birthday experience to birthday guest of honor and all parents and guests.
  1. Monitor, clean and organize party diningand seating areas as needed.
  1. Restock any and all party supplies and party add-ons as needed.
  1. Aim to resolve customer complaints at the time if possible.
  1. Monitor marketing flyer stocks and replenish as needed.
  1. Promote additional sales of party add-ons and merchandise.
  1. Ensure that all trash and debris are cleared from party diningand seating area before any indoor games.
  1. Ensure that all chairs, tables and tablecloths are evenly aligned and tidy.
  1. Ensure all party gifts and belongings have left with the party guest of honor, otherwise, contact party parents when time allows.
  1. Address thank you note to birthday guest of honor after party has concluded.
  1. Complete opening and closing duties.
  1. Performs his or her job in a friendly, courteous manner at all times.
  1. Promptly informs aDirector of any and all customer complaints or comments.
  1. To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and to take personal responsibility for ensuring attendance at regular free Child Protection training at a level commensurate with role.
  1. To operate within professional boundaries when developing and maintaining relationships with children, young people and the wider community.
  1. To work from any premises Awesome CIC occupies or any other reasonable location where Awesome is delivering a service.
  1. To support adventure playgrounds with promotion and marketing of the play service to children and young people, parents and guests.
  1. Clean and sanitize designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc)
  1. To adhere to all ways of working as specified in the employee's handbook
