Arts Mini-Grants - OVERVIEW
What?Up to $100 grant to pay for teacher, supplies, room, etc.
Examples for projects may be one time or an on-going project in such areas as:
Painting | Drawing | Clay | Photography | Sewing |Quilting | Knitting/Crocheting | Singing | Dancing | Acting/Drama | Music | Writing | Cooking | Traditional Craft | Neighborhood or Group Art Project
Who?Any person, who wants to do hands-on arts or creative activities. The activity must be free to participants. Participants are teens or ethnic populations, and number at least 5 people. The activity can be within a neighborhood, church, after-school program, community center, etc.
Examples: If you are a Teacher or Presenter… you have a skill to share or know a teacher you want to learn from | If you are aCreator… you and your friends want to try something new, and learn to do it together.
Not sure where to start? The Arts Council is happy to answer your questions, help you find a teacher, and help you apply to this grant.
Why?To encourage hands-on learning and building community through the arts.

Checklist of Items that you will need to submit:
- Application Form
- If you get a grant, a Project Summary & Photo/video should be shared with the Arts Council within 30 days after the project ends. The summary should be about 50 words describing what you did and how the grant helped you.

Important Dates:
Mini-Grant Application deadline is: ongoing, but before May 31, 2015.
Notification of grant awards: within 2 weeks of submitting application.
All projects should be completed by August 31, 2015.
