Artistic Representation
The 4th and final component of your Honors/Seminar project is the artistic representation. It must reflect your topic and is due ______-
An artistic representation can be a portrait or model dealing with your topic. You will be graded on 4 aspects (worth 25 points each)
- Creativity—basically “thinking outside the box.” What I mean by this is if your topic is, for example King Tut and you construct a basic Egyptian pyramid, you are not being creative. A creative project would be a scaled model of King Tut’s tomb with details inside (the structure, what filled the pyramid, where the mummy was located, etc.)
- Relevance to topic—let’s say your topic is again King Tut. If you construct a pyramid from those at Giza, that is not relevant to King Tut.
- Visual Appeal/Neatness—I am not an artist myself, but I do things in a neat way. A poor artistic representation is sloppy, has glue showing, missing parts, etc. Make sure you clean up your model/portrait and make it look visually pleasing. You can check out some in the media center for examples of great artistic representations.
- Paragraph—your model must have a typed paragraph explaining the model, how it was constructed, and how it represents your topic. Spelling, grammar, and length (4-6 sentences) will count. This must be typed with your name, model, class period, and date. I will NOT accept handwritten paragraphs.
**ALL PROJECTS ARE DUE BY 3:40 ON ______- I WILL NOT ACCEPT LATE PROJECTS---EVEN IF YOU ARE ABSENT.
