Classes:

1. Junior Warm Up Competition (0.75m – 2ft6)

Open to all junior competitors. This will be run over one timed round.

Table A4. The fastest clear wins. Entry fee £12.

2. Junior Team Competition

Teams to consist of the following 3 or 4 junior rider & horse/pony combinations.

Best three scores to count. Entry fee £50 per team.

a. Novice horse/pony and rider. Horse to have 0 BSJA Points. Jumps not to exceed 0.75m – 2ft 6.

b. Novice horse/pony and rider. Horse to have 0 BSJA Points. Jumps not to exceed 0.75m – 2ft 6.

c. Open horse/pony & rider – unrestricted. Jumps not to exceed 0.90m – 3ft in the first round.

d. Open horse/pony & rider – unrestricted. Jumps not to exceed 0.90m – 3ft in the first round.

3. Senior Warm Up Competition (0.75m – 2ft6)

Open to all senior competitors. This will be run over one timed round.

4. Senior Team Competition

Teams to consist of the following 3 or 4 senior rider & horse/pony combinations.

Best three scores to count. Entry fee £50 per team.

b. Novice horse/pony and rider. Horse to have 0 BSJA Points. Jumps not to exceed 0.75m – 2ft 6.

c. Open horse/pony & rider – unrestricted. Jumps not to exceed 0.90m – 3ft in the first round.

d. Open horse/pony & rider – unrestricted. Jumps not to exceed 0.90m – 3ft in the first round.

One, nominated open team member only will jump off to decide on the winning team.

This will be over a shortened, raised course.

The first rounds will be timed and used if equality for lower placings.

To enable teams to complete with a score: Eliminated competitors will have 20 penalties added to the worst total of faults scored by a competitor in the first round of their section of the competition.

Rules:
1. Teams must consist of 3 or 4 different rider & horse/pony combinations.

2. Horses/ponies must be 4 years of age or over.

3. Restrictions in the Novice team sections must be strictly adhered to.

4. Rosettes will be awarded to the first 6 teams in classes 2 and 4 and a perpetual trophy will be awarded to the winning teams.

6. The competition will be judged under B.R.C. rules 2017.

7. Objections must be made in writing with a deposit of £20 within 30 minutes of the incident occurring.

8. Save for the death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organizers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the British Horse Society, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

9. The team course will consist of at least 8 fences, including at least 3 spreads and a double. A treble will not be included.

10. The closing date for entries shall be Monday 6th March.

12. Only clubs who have paid their subscription to British Riding Clubs No.10 Area Liaison Committee are eligible to take part.

13. Clubs will be required to help with stewarding and arena party duties. A rota will be drawn up and available at the collecting ring please check when your club is due to help.

14. The indoor warm up is strictly for the next 8 competitors warming up. All arenas are to be kept muck-free at all times. Car parking is adequate and will be stewarded, please follow parking instructions carefully. Horseboxes must absolutely not be mucked out in the car park and horses/ponies must not be left tied-up and unattended outside lorries or trailers.

15. The course for class 1 will be available for walking from 8.30a.m. This class will start promptly at 9.00a.m. There will be a drawn order for all classes. Riders must be ready to jump or may risk elimination.

Directions suitable for Lorries/Trailers as your satnav will take you on unsuitable lanes!

From The A2 towards Faversham: from Sittingbourne take the right hand turn at the bottom of the hill signed Newnham/Doddington. Take the 2nd left approx 1 mile down to Well Lane. Continue for 1.5 miles and Willow Farm is on your left.

Alternatively drive into Faversham and turn right onto the Brogdale Road & follow instructions below:

Approaching from the A251 & A2 Dover towards London: bear left to the A2 Sittingbourne bound. Past the speed cameras & Abbet School take the first left Brogdale Road, follow for approx 2 miles, where the road forks at the Alma Pub, bear right and turn down Painters Forstall Road. Continue about 1 mile & immediately before the motorway flyover bridge take the left hand turn into Hanslett’s Lane. Willow Farm is a little way along on your right.
