Join our team as a Human Resource Generalist!

The Human Resource Generalist works collaboratively with the Human Resource team and partners with Goodwill’s business leaders to meet the strategic business outcomes. The Generalist will engage to provide leadership and support in a variety of Human Resource specialties including recruiting, employee relations, and performance improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers to fill positions with the best qualified candidates
  • Work in partnership with managers on employee relations matters to explore alternatives and solutions to create a positive resolution that gain all parties' support and acceptance
  • Assist managers in establishing a comfort-level with performance issues assuring proactive direction is taken to maintain and support employee improvement
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees alike
  • As part of the Human Resource leadership team works to improve service delivery and efficiency

  • Thoroughness in accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
  • Monitors and checks work or information and plans and organizes time and resources efficiently
  • Double-checks the accuracy of information and work product to provide accurate and consistent work
  • Provides information on a timely basis

  • Completes all work according to procedures and standards

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of HRIS software, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. (Intermediate to Advanced skills preferred.) PowerPoint experience desired.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree plus minimum3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR Certification preferred.
