STUMBLING SENSES is an extraordinary and enlightening one day course, guaranteed to stimulate and inspire anyone working with children. This fascinating new topic explores common impairments of the senses, with a focus on providing insight into the role that these impairments play in the development of specific learning difficulties. Each of the impairments will be discussed in detail with an emphasis on the early warning signs, causes, prognosis, impact as well as referral routes and practical strategies.

Expert professionals in each sphere will describe the impact that each impairment has on the child's social, emotional, functional and learning development, as it progresses from an impairment into a significant learning difficulty. The aim of the course is to equip paediatric professionals with the knowledge and the skills to be able to competently and confidently identify and address these impairments and in doing so, prevent them from developing into learning difficulties.
