‘A Salute to Caregivers’

Are you a caregiver? Do you know a caregiver? We want to hear your stories!
On Friday, October 9, 2015, as part of The Art of Healthy Aging Forum and Expo, Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia and sponsor JenCare Neighborhood Medical Centers are proud to recognize the often unsung heroes among us, the caregiver.
Nominations are accepted in the following categories:
* “Circle of Care” Caregiver: A family member or close friend who cares for a loved one – sometimes 24/7, sometimes on a part-time schedule and sometimes on a more casual basis.
* Professional Caregiver: A trained healthcare professional who devotes their time and energies to the best care of their client or patient.
* Military Caregiver: A military caregiver who, either family, friend or professional, is caring for a veteran who is a senior.
Submissions accepted July 13, 2015 through September 8, 2015.
Stories are judged by a panel of health care professionals and clergy. The judges will chose several stories to be shared during The Art of Healthy Aging Forum and Expo.All caregivers in the audience will be recognized and applauded for truly making a difference in the lives of others.
