Architectural Designer

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of architectural design experience

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
  • Architectural registration a plus
  • Experience with designing commercial facilities highly preferred; experience designing banks a big plus.
  • The qualified candidate should also have experience in field observation, knowledge of building materials, specifications, construction techniques experience with building codes, zoning and have sufficient knowledge of engineering disciplines.
  • Proficiency in the use of software programs including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe, SketchUp and Revit.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform layout and detailing on architectural projects according to contract documents and specifications.
  • Coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project and establish client and internal meetings.
  • Other duties will include: conducting design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines, coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule, reviewing architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines, writing/editing architectural specifications, working directly with owners and their legal staff to establish and document the legal parameters of the construction contract, coordinating and assisting with any addendum, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, incorporating agreed upon changes into the project documents, and providing, on an as needed basis, construction contract administration.
