PART 1 – GENERAL

1.01SECTION INCLUDES

A. Outdoor CCTV housing with 24V heater/defogger and pressurization option, rated IP68.

  1. Manufacturer’s descriptive literature for equipment specified, including components, options, specifications, ordering information, and accessories.
  1. Manufacturer’s installation instructions for each product.

1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE

1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

  1. Store products of this section in manufacturer’s unopened packaging until installation.
  1. Maintain dry storage area with temperature between –20C to +50 C (-40F to +122F) for products of this section until installation.

1.05 WARRANTY

  1. This Linear Corp. LLC product is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 39 months from date of shipping.

1.06 REFERENCES

  1. List compliance regulations (e.g UL, FCC CLASS A) for each product if applicable.

2.02GENERAL REQUIREMENTS – OUTDOOR PRESSURIZED HOUSING

  1. The product specified shall be an outdoor housing unit with heater and pressurization option. The housing accepts cameras up to 64W x 58Hmm (2.5 x 2.3in), lenses up to 67W x 75H mm (2.6 x 2.9 in), and camera/lens combinations up to 355mm (14.0 in). This unit has a voltage rating of 24VAC, 50/60Hz. These units are constructed of a one-piece camera/lens mounting cradle with front and end caps. The front-end cap contains the glass viewing window. The rear end-cap contains one corrosion-resistant 20 - 16 (shell size 20, 16-pin) MIL-C-26482 connector. The unit base is designed so that it can be mounted to pan/tilts and various mounts.
  1. For units with the pre-installed heater/defogger, the heater/defogger minimizes fogging of the glass viewing window in high humidity areas or freezing under cold temperature conditions.
  1. Units are constructed of extruded aluminum housing, aluminum front and rear end caps, and aluminum cradle.
  1. The housing is mounted through three tapped holes. The cradle assembly may be removed for mounting the camera/lens assembly. The cradle may be rotated 360 degrees.

C.One Corrosion-resistant 20 - 16 (shell size 20, 16-pin) MIL-C-26482 connector with mating connector and crimp pins supplied. Connections for Cat -5/6e, AC power, video, and lens control. Crimp pins accept wire gauges 20 - 16 AWG (24 - 20 AWG for 11 - pin and 24 - pin connectors).

D. Construction: Extruded aluminum housing, aluminum rear-end cap, aluminum front cap with glass faceplate, and aluminum cradle.

2.05 ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Temperature: An external temperature of –40C to 50C (-40F to 122F) maintains internal temperatures between –20C to 55C (-4F to 131F).
  2. Salt Atmosphere: MIL-STD-810E, Method 509, Procedure 1.

2.07 ACCESSORIES

  1. The manufacturer shall offer a sunshield that provides protection from the direct rays of sun and promotes cooling to reduce internal housing temperatures.
  2. The manufacturer shall offer a tamper resistant kit that includes screws and insertion tool to permit tamper resistance for one housing.
  3. Mounting Units:

MT9212: Wall mount, 12-inch, 20lb max load.

MT9210: Column mount, 8-inch, 20lb max load.

MT9223: Column mount, 24-inch, 20lb max load.

PART 3 – EXECUTION

3.01 Installation

A.Installation should be performed by qualified service personnel only in accordance with the National Electrical Code or applicable local codes.

B.Installation should be performed in accordance with manufacturer’s installation manual.

The product specified shall be the Model HS9384-2HP, outdoor housing 24VAC 50/60Hz, window heater/defogger, pressurization model with a light gray finish, manufactured by Linear Corp. LLC.
